Viewing asset tag balances

This page allows you to view the balances of an asset tag. Asset tag balances can be viewed based on a date of viewing and the code identifying the depreciation book.

Select the “Tag Balance” link from the “View Asset Balance” page.

The “View Tag Balance” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Asset Information” page:

Asset No.	The number identifying the asset whose balances are to be viewed.
Asset Desc.	The description pertaining to the asset.

Enter the following fields in the “Asset Information” group box:

As On Date	The effective date from which the asset balances have to be viewed (Date Format). The date entered here should not be less than the capitalization date. The date entered here should also not be greater than the date on which the financial period ends.
	Press the <Enter> key.
	The system retrieves and displays the asset status and the asset book value in the “Asset Status” and “Asset Book Value” fields respectively. The system also retrieves the corresponding tag balances in the multiline.
Depreciation Book Code	Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the depreciation book of the asset. All the depreciation book codes will be available for selection from the “Asset Depreciation Setup” business component.

Note: Values will be loaded into this field only if the “Asset Depreciation Setup” business component has been mapped to this business component.

The system displays the following in the “Asset Information” page:

Asset Book Value

The book value of the asset.

The system displays the following in the “Balance Information” page:

Finance Book	The code identifying the finance book to which the accounting entries are posted.
Tag No.	The number identifying the asset tag.
Tag Desc.	The description pertaining to the asset tag.
Transaction Type	The type of transaction pertaining to the asset tag.
In Service Date	The date on which the assets are put to effective use.
Tag Cost	The cost of the asset tag at every transaction level.
Cumulative Total	The sum total of the tag costs of the current row and the previous rows of the multiline.

Note: The first row of the multiline will display the tag cost itself as the cumulative total.

Depreciation Charge	The depreciation amount that has been charged for the asset in a financial period.
Cumulative Depreciation	The depreciation charged for the asset from the in-service date to the As On Date.
Tag Book Value	The tag book value of the asset tag.
Cost Center	The code identifying the cost center in which the assets are going to be physically or logically grouped.
Tag Status	The status of the asset tag.

To proceed, carry out the following:

Select the “Attach Notes” link at the bottom of the page to record your observations.
Select the “Collaborate” link at the bottom of the page to record or to view the observations or comments or discussions regarding the document.
