This help page allows you to search and select a depreciation category and transfer the details to the field where it is required. You can carry out the search using the asset class code, the number identifying the depreciation category, and the status of the depreciation category.
Click the lens icon provided next to the “Depreciation Category” field.
The “Help on Depreciation Category” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Asset Class Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the asset class. The system loads all the asset class defined in the “Create Asset Class” activity of the “Asset Type Definition” business component, for selection. The system displays the first asset class by default on launch of the page. |

Depreciation Rule No. |
The number identifying the depreciation category (Alphanumeric, 20). Enter the depreciation number in full or specify it partially using ‘*’ character. The system retrieves the details in the multiline whose depreciation rule number is similar to the number entered here. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the depreciation category. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the details.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria.

The code identifying the category. |

Depreciation Category Description |
The textual description of the depreciation category. |

Status |
The status of the depreciation category. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the depreciation category.
Click the “Ok” pushbutton to transfer the depreciation rule to the main page.
