Create Tax Additional Account Definition
This page allows you to create additional tax account definition and consolidate the tax account definition.
Select the “Create Tax Additional Account Definition” link under the “Account Rule Definition” business component.
The “Create Tax Additional Account Definition” page appears.
Enter the following details in the “Tax Details” group box:
Tax Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the required tax type. The type of tax can be “CST”, “EXCISE”, “VAT” or “GST”. The system displays the first value by default on the launch of the page |
Tax Community |
Use the drop-down list to specify the community of the tax that administers the tax rules. The system loads the tax community combo with the applicable tax community for the first applicable tax type. |
Finance Book |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the required finance book in which the transaction is accounted. The finance book values available for the company will be filled in the list. The system displays “ALL” by default on the launch of the page. |
Usage ID |
Use the drop-down list to specify the Usage Id. A unique number identifying the usage. It can be "CONSINPTAX" or "CONSOUTTAX". If Tax Type = GST, and tax community is (AUSTRALIA) it can also be "GSTCLEARING". If Tax Type = VAT, and tax community is (Swiss / EU / THAILAND) it can also be "CINVINPTAX". If Tax Type = VAT, and tax community is ( THAILAND) it can also be "VATADJ". |

A short textual description of the Usage Id. |

A textual description of the Usage Id. |
Enter the following detail in the “Tax Details” group box:
Account Code |
The code identifying the account (Alphanumeric, 32). The system checks for the validity of the entered account code from the “Account Setup” business component. If the code is not valid then the system displays an error message. If the finance book value is “ALL”, then the system checks whether the code is valid for all the finance books. |

Effective From Date |
The date from which the account code is effective. |
Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center (Alphanumeric, 10). The system checks for the validity of the entered cost center from the "Cost Setup" business component. It also checks if there exists a mapping between the entered cost center and account code. |

The code identifying the analysis. |

Sub Analysis Code |
The code identifying the subanalysis. The subanalysis code is mapped to the analysis code. The system checks for the validity of the analysis and subanalysis code. |
Note: The system checks for the validity of Account Code, Analysis, Sub Analysis & Finance Book. If finance book is set to "All" then system checks whether the code is valid for all the Finance Books.
Click the “Default” Pushbutton to retrieve the “Tax Details” in the “Account Definition Details” multiline.
The system ensures that atleast one row is selected in the multiline.If no rows are selected then the system throws an error message.
The system ensures that atleast one of the following field is entered before defaulting - Account Code / Cost Center/ Analysis Code/Sub Analysis Code/ Effective From Date.
The system displays the following in the “Account Definition Details” multiline:
Tax Region |
The system displays the tax region. The code identifying the region where the tax declaration has to be made. The system loads the applicable tax region for the Tax type-Tax community combination. |
Enter the following details in the “Account Definition Details” multiline:
Account Code |
The code identifying the account. The account code field should not be left blank and a valid code should be entered. The system throws an error message if the code entered is not a valid code. |

From Date |
The date from which the account code is effective. The system ensures that this field is not left blank. |
Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center (Alphanumeric, 10). |

Analysis Code |
The code identifying the analysis. |

Sub Analysis Code |
The code identifying the subanalysis. The subanalysis code is mapped to the analysis code. The system checks for the validity of the analysis and subanalysis code. |
The system displays the following in the multiline:

The description of the subanalysis code. |
Click the “Create” pushbutton to create tax additional account definition.
The system ensures that atleast one row is selected while creation. If no rows are selected then an error message is displayed.
The system ensures that entered Account Code is not referred under any Account Type for the Login company in the “Tax Account definition” activity.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Tax Additional Account Definition” link at the bottom of the page to view the tax additional account definition.
