Activate / Inactivate Operative Chart of Accounts – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to activate an inactive chart of accounts or an inactive account code. You can also inactivate an active chart of accounts or an account code. A chart of account or the account code can be activated or inactivated from a particular date.

This page allows you to select the chart of accounts or the account codes for activation or inactivation. You can activate a chart of accounts that is in the “Inactive” status. All the account codes that are available in the inactivated chart of accounts will also be inactivated. Similarly, when chart of accounts is activated again all the account codes available in the structure will also get activated.

This page also allows you to activate or inactivate selected account codes if the corresponding chart of accounts is in the “Active” status. You can inactivate an account code if it has not been attached to a finance book.
