Using online help

This page allows you to view the details of the selected bank reference. You can view the communication details of the bank, details of the account number and the details of the bank codes that have been mapped to the bank account number.

The “View Bank” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Status

The status of the bank account. It could be “Fresh”, “Active” or “Inactive”.

Bank Reference

The number identifying the bank reference.

Bank Name

The name of the bank.

The system displays the following::

Address

The complete mail address of the bank.

 

Zoom facility available.

City

The city in which the bank is located.

State

The state in which the bank is located.

Zip

The postal code of the city.

Country

The country in which the bank is located.

Phone No.

The phone number of the bank along with the country code and area code.

Fax

The fax number of the bank.

Telex

The telex number of the bank.

E-Mail

The electronic mail address of the bank.

 

Zoom facility available.

Mailstop

The mailstop number of the bank.

Bank Clearing No.

A number allotted to a bank by the central bank of the country This number is used while carrying out inter bank transactions at the clearing center.

Swift No.

A number, used for transacting with international banks. This number will be necessary for file transfer of payments and receipts.

Bank Type

Indicates the type of the bank.

BSR No.

 A unique seven digit code allotted by the Reserve Bank of India to a Bank branch in India.

The system displays the following in the “Bank Account Information” group box:

Bank Account No.

The number identifying the bank account.

Credit Limit

The maximum amount till which the company can use for transactions from a bank account.

Drawable Limit

The amount till which the company can draw funds from the bank.

Currency

The transaction currency of the bank account.

IBAN

The code identifying the international bank identification number.

MICR Code

The unique MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) code which is used By RBI (Reserve bank Of India) clearing process to identify the branch and bank for clearing processes.

The system displays the following in the “Bank Book Details” multiline:

Bank Code

The code identifying the bank.

Desc.

The description of the bank code.

Finance Book

The code identifying the finance book in which the bank account details have been posted.

Posting Account Code

The code identifying the posting account in which the bank details have been posted.

Account Balance

The debit balance available in the bank account.

Dr. / Cr.

Indicates whether the account is a debit or a credit account.

Credit Limit

The maximum amount till which the company can use for transactions from a bank code

Drawable Limit

The amount till which the company can draw funds from the bank code.

Balance in Excess of Credit Limit

The excess balance utilized above the credit limit.

Over Draft Amount

The overdraft amount.

Minimum Balance

The minimum amount which should be kept at any point of time for the bank code.

Minimum Targeted Balance

Minimum Targeted balance to be maintained on a periodical basis for the bank code.

Interest Rate For Overdraft Balance

The interest rate charged on the overdraft amount.

Effective Date For Interest Rate

The date from which the interest rate is effective.

Interest Rate For Dr. Balance

The interest rate for the debit balance.

 Interest Rate For Cr. Balance

The interest rate for the credit balance.

Status

The status of the bank code. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

The system displays the following fields.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the bank account.

Created Date

The date on which the bank account was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the bank account.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the bank account was last modified.

To proceed, carry out the following
