Deleting usage

This page allows you to delete a usage that has been created for a cost center. You can search for the usage based on the code identifying the usage or the description of the usage. The system retrieves and displays the usages based on the page from which this page is launched. For example, if the “Delete Usage” page is launched from the “Maintain Purchase Cost Center Rule Definition”, then all the usages that have been defined on purchase cost center that are in “Active” status will be retrieved for selection. Once a usage is deleted, the system records the deletion details and maintains a history of changes for the deleted records also.

The “Delete Usage” page appears.

Usage ID. From

The starting code in the range of codes identifying the cost center usage that has to be deleted (Alphanumeric, 20).

To

The ending code in the range of codes identifying the cost center usage that has to be deleted (Alphanumeric, 20).

Note: The value entered here should be greater than or equal to the value entered in the “Usage Id From” field.

Usage Short Desc.

A short description pertaining to the cost center usage (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves and displays all the usages with the description similar to the value entered here.

Usage Desc.

A description pertaining to the cost center usage (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves and displays all the usages with the description similar to the value entered here.

Note: The system retrieves the usages for deletion based on the page from which it is launched.

All the usages in “Active” status will be retrieved and displayed in the multiline for deletion.

The system displays the following in the “Usage Details” multiline:

Usage ID.

The code identifying the cost center usage.

Usage Desc.

A description pertaining to the cost center usage.

Usage Short Desc.

A short description pertaining to the cost center usage

Note: Atleast one record in the multiline should be marked for deletion.

The system deletes the usage and also maintains a history of the deletions and changes made to the usages.
