This activity allows you to run aging for a customer or group of customers. This activity does the aging of the customer balances and classifies the overdue using the concept of credit buckets. The system displays the system date as the run date. You can retrieve the customers by carrying out the search using the business unit, the code identifying the customer, the code identifying the customer group code.
The system computes the credit bucket balances, currency wise. The user also has the option to update the credit rating of the customer based on the new aging balances.
Select the “Run Aging” link under the “Credit Management” business component.
The “Run Aging” page appears.
The system displays the following field:

Run Date |
The date on which the aging is to be run for the customer. The system displays the system date by default on launch of the page. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the customer group code:

Use the drop-down list box to select the business unit. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |

Customer From |
The starting number in the range of customer codes from which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 32). The system retrieves the customer with the codes that are greater than or equal to the code specified here. |

To |
The ending number in the range of customer codes till which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 32). The system retrieves the customer with the codes that are lesser than or equal to the code specified here. The code specified here must be greater than the code entered in the “Customer From” field. |

Customer Group Code From |
The starting codes in the range of customer group codes from which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 16). The system retrieves the customer codes in the customer group codes of type “Aging” that are greater than or equal to the group code specified here. |

If this field is left blank and “To” field is entered, then the system retrieves the customers from the first customer group code till the group code specified in the “To” field. | |

The ending codes in the range of customer group codes till which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 16). The system retrieves the customer codes in the customer group code that are less than or equal to the group code specified here. The code specified must be greater than or equal to the code specified in “Customer Group Code From” field. |

Credit Check |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether credit rating has to be updated for the customer based on the new aging balances. The options available are “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the customer details.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Customer Group Code |
The code identifying the customer group of type “Aging”. |

Customer Code |
The code identifying the customer. |
|
Customer Name |
The name of the customer. |
|
Last Run Date |
The date on which the last aging was run. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the customer code for running aging.
Click the “Run Ageing” pushbutton to run the aging.
Note: Atleast one row in the multiline must be selected.
If the business unit is selected, then the credit check/aging would be run for the BUs. If “All” is selected, then the credit check /aging would be run for the login company.
The system proceeds with the recomputation of credit rating if the credit check option is set to “Yes”.
