Help on Consolidation Account Code
This Help page allows you to search and select a consolidation account code and transfer the details to the field where it is required.
You can carry out a search to retrieve the account codes that have been defined for the consolidation chart of accounts. You can search by specifying the range of account codes. You can carry out a search by specifying the group to which the account belongs, the description of the account and the layout heading that has been mapped. You can also search by specifying the status of the account codes. The system retrieves the details of all the consolidation account codes based on the search criteria entered. The selected consolidation account code is transferred to the required page, when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Consolidation Account Code” field.
The “Help on Consolidation Account Code” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a consolidation account code:

Account Code From |
The starting code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the account codes that are similar to the value entered in this field. |

To |
The ending code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the account codes that are similar to the value entered in this field. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the account code from “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. |

Group Consolidation Account Code |
The code identifying the parent account code of the account code that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 32). |

Effective Date From |
The starting date in the date range from which the consolidation account is effective. |
|
Effective Date To |
The end date in the date range until which the consolidation account is effective. |

Account Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the group to which the account that you want to retrieve belongs. You can select from “Assets”, “Liability”, “Capital”, “Revenue”, “Expenditure” or “All”. The system displays “All” by default on launch of the page. |

Layout Heading |
Use the drop-down list box to select the layout heading to which the account that you want to retrieve has been mapped. All the predefined layout headings will be available for selection in the ascending order. |

Desc. |
A textual description of the account code that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the account codes that have description similar to the value entered in this field |

Revised Layout Heading |
Use the drop down list box to select the Revised Layout heading to which the account must be mapped. These Layout headings lead to form the various financial statements for the company. The system displays blank by default on launch of the page. |
Note: The “Revised Layout Heading” control will be visible based on the base currency of the login company. When the base currency of the login company is ‘Indian Rupees’ and the first financial calendar start date with legacy option as No before 1.4.2011,then this control will be visible.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Account Code |
The code identifying the consolidation account. |

Description |
The textual description of the consolidation account. |
|
Account Group |
The group to which the consolidation account belongs. It could be “Assets”, “Liability”, “Capital”, “Revenue” or “Expenditure”. |

Account Classification |
The category to which the consolidation account belongs. It could be “Balance Sheet”, “Income Statement” or “Retained Earnings”. |
|
Effective Date From |
The starting date in the date range during which the consolidation account is effective. |
|
Effective Date To |
The ending date in the date range during which the consolidation account is effective. |
|
Group Consolidation Account Code |
The code identifying the parent consolidation account. |
|
Layout Heading |
The layout heading to which the account has been mapped to by default. |
|
Revised Layout Heading |
The Revised layout heading to which the account has been mapped to. |
|
Schedule Heading |
The schedule heading to which the account has been mapped. |
|
Revised Schedule Heading |
The Revised Schedule heading to which the account has been mapped to. |
Note: The “Revised Layout Heading” and “Revised Schedule Heading” columns will be visible based on the base currency of the login company. When the base currency of the login company is ‘Indian Rupees’ and the first financial calendar start date with legacy option as No before 1.4.2011,then these columns will be visible.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select a consolidation account code.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
