Basics of using Ramco Enterprise Series web page

This help page allows you to search and select a cost center and account code mapped to the cost center and transfer the details to the field where it is required.

You can carry out a search by specifying the range of cost center that you want to retrieve and the date range during which the cost center is effective. You can also search by specifying the range of account code. The system retrieves the cost center and the account codes mapped to it. The selected cost center and the account code mapped to it are transferred to the required page, when it is confirmed.

The “Help on Cost Center ” page appears.

Cost Center From

The starting code in the range of cost center codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To         

The ending code in the range of cost center codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 40).

Account Code From

The starting code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve

Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

To

The ending code in the range of account codes that you want to retrieve.

Effective Date

Use the drop-down list box to select the date from which the cost center is effective. All the start dates of the MAC periods that have been defined for MAC years that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order. The system displays the earliest “Open” MAC period by default.

Note: The date selected in this field must be before or the same as the date selected in the “Expiry Date” field.

Expiry Date

Use the drop-down list box to select the date on which the cost center / unit expires. All the end dates of the MAC periods that have been defined for MAC years that are in the “Open” status will be available for selection in the chronological order. The system displays the latest “Open” MAC period by default.

Cost Center Type

Use the drop down list box to select Cost Center type. The combo will be loaded with all the 'Cost Center Type Description', set and saved in the Set Function Parameters in Cost Setup component, of the respective login OUs BU. The system displays "All" by default on launch of the page.

The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Cost Center Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Cost Center

The code identifying the cost center.

Description

The description of the cost center.

Account code

The account code mapped to the cost center.

Description

The description of the account code.

Effective Date

The date from which the cost center is effective.

Expiry Date

The date on which the cost center expires.
