Deployment Administration - An overview
The Deployment Administration business component facilitates defining authentication and authorization for the customer environment. Business process chains (BPC) nodes and component nodes can be defined in the application and the sequence in which the activities must appear under each component, can also be defined.
License required for using the business components can be imported in XML format. The license file contains the details about the number of licenses allocated to the users in the role and the business components that can be accessed by the users. Organization Unit instance can be created and components / users can be mapped to the OU instance.
The “Resource Details” activity enables creating Resources like RM server, Web server and Application server, configuring relation between source and destination servers and mapping components to the RM server / Application server.
The business components also aids in creating deployment roles in the system under a specified system role, user creation and other user-related functions like mapping users to OU / deployment role, setting account expiry period, password policy etc.
