This page allow you to assign rights to a user group. Tell me more.
Select the “Define Rights” link from the bottom of the “Create User Roles And Rights” page.
The “Define Rights” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

The number of the group for which rights must be defined. |

The type of the group. |
Enter the following fields in the “Eqp./Loc. Details” multiline:

Rights On |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the maintainable object on which the specific group has the rights. The system provides the options: “Equipment”, “Location” and “Loc Including Eqp”. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Code |
The identifier of the equipment or location for which the rights have been defined (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following: |

All Rights for All Permit Types |
Check this box if you wish to assign all rights for all the permit types. |
Note: If you have checked the “All Rights for All Permit Types” box, the system does not process the “Rights” multiline.
The system retrieves the various permit types in the “Rights” multiline. You can assign specific rights to the various permit types:

Enter the following fields in the multiline:

Process Request ? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the user group has the right to process a clearance request. The system provides the options: “Yes” and “No”. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify whether the right is applicable to the user group. |

Approve / Extend Permit ? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the user group has the right to approve or extend a clearance permit. The system provides the options: “Yes” and “No”. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify whether the right is applicable to the user group. |

Close Permit ? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the user group has got the right to close a clearance permit. The system provides the options: “Yes” and “No”. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify whether the right is applicable to the user group or not. |
Click the “Define” pushbutton to define the rights for the user group.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Defining rights to various user groups for processing a clearance permit – An overview
You can assign rights to a user group in this page. You can select the equipment or location and specify the rights that are available to the user group for processing clearance request and clearance permit that are created for carrying out maintenance activities for a specific permit type. Rights can be assigned for carrying out the following activities:
To process a clearance request
On assignment of this right, the employees belonging to the user group can approve or reject a clearance request that is raised for the specific equipment or locations and for a permit type.
To approve or extend a clearance permit
When this right is provided to a user group, the employees belonging to this group can approve or extend a clearance permit that is created for the specific equipment or locations and for a permit type.
To close a permit
When this right is assigned to a user group, the employees belonging to this group can close a clearance permit that is created for the specific equipment or locations and for a permit type.
The system assigns the rights to the user group and stores the login ID of the user who has provided the rights along with the date and time of assignment of the rights.
