Create Lock Out / Tag Out Procedure
This page allows you to create lockout and tagout procedures. Tell me more.
Select the “Create Lock Out / Tag Out Procedure” link under the “EAM Clearance Permit System” business component.
The “Create Lock Out / Tag Out Procedure” page appears.
Enter the following field:

Procedure |
A unique identifier of the lockout or tagout procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of letters and numbers. |

Enter the description of the procedure alongside (Alphanumeric, 150). Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following fields in the “Procedure” group box if you wish to create a procedure by copying details from any existing procedure:

Click the “Copy” pushbutton.
Note: The system copies the details of the procedure to the procedure that is being created:
Enter the following fields:

Procedure Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category of the procedure. The system lists all procedure categories that have been defined in the “Maintain User Defined Fields” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any category. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Procedure Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the procedure. The system lists all procedure types that have been defined in the “Maintain User Defined Fields” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify any type. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the procedure. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” if you do not wish to refer to the procedure in other related activities. The system sets this field as “Active”, by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Activities” multiline:

Seq. No. |
The order in which the activities must be performed (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique to the multiline. |

If you have left the sequence number blank for all the multilane rows, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in multiples of five, when you click the “Create” pushbutton. |
Note: If you have left the sequence number blank for some of the multiline rows, the system arranges those rows in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, and numbers these rows to be the last in the sequence. The system then rearranges the rows in the ascending order of the sequence number and renumbers the rows with multiples of five.

Activity |
The activity that must performed as a part of the lockout or tagout procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following: |

Use the drop-down list box to specify the maintainable object on which the activity must be performed. The system provides the following options: |

The identifier of the equipment or location on which the activity must be performed (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following: |

Note: Ensure that the “Activity – Code” combination is unique to the multiline.

Lockout / Tagout |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the activity must be performed as a part of lockout or tagout procedure. The system provides the options: “LockOut” and “TagOut”. Leave the field blank, if you do not wish to specify if the procedure is a lockout or a tagout procedure. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

No. Of Tags |
The number of tags that must be displayed (Decimal). Ensure that the number entered here is positive. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the activity that you do not wish to define as a part of the procedure.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected activity from being defined for the procedure.
Click the “Create” pushbutton to create the lockout or tagout procedure.
Note: The system creates the lockout or tagout procedure with the specified activities. The system also stores the login ID of the user who has created the procedure along with the date and time of creation.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The date and time at which the procedure was created. |

Last Modified By |
In this activity, the system displays the login ID of the user who created the procedure. |

Copy the details from an existing procedure
Copy the details from an existing procedure
You can create a lockout or a tagout procedure by copying the details from an existing procedure.
Enter the procedure from which the details must be copied in the “From Lockout/Tagout Procedure” field.
Click the “Copy” pushbutton to copy the details to the procedure that is being created.
The system creates a lockout or a tagout procedure by copying the details form an existing procedure.
