This page allows you to edit the details of a hazard. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Hazard Master” link in the “Select Hazard” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked hazard in the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Hazard Master” page appears.
Enter the following field, if you wish to edit a hazard other than the hazard selected in the “Select Hazard” page.

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the hazard. The description of the hazard is retrieved in the edit box alongside. You can modify the description of the hazard (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Enter the following fields in the “Copy” group box to modify a hazard by copying the details from an existing hazard:

From Hazard |
The hazard from which the details must be copied (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the hazard is already defined in this activity and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the hazard entered in this field is not the same as the hazard entered in the “Hazard” field. |

Note: The system copies the details of the hazard to the hazard that is being modified and appends any precautions to the multiline.
Enter the following fields:

Hazard Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the hazard. The system lists all the hazard types that have been defined in the “Define Hazard Types” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you wish not to specify any hazard type. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Information defined by the user (Alphanumeric, 30). |

Status

Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the hazard. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive”, if you do not wish to refer to this hazard in other activities. The system displays “Active”, by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Precautions” multiline:

Precautions |
The precaution that must be taken to prevent loss due to the hazard (Alphanumeric, 150). Ensure that the precaution is unique to the multiline. |
Note: You cannot modify a precaution that is copied from an existing hazard. However, you can delete a precaution.

Remarks |
Any additional information regarding the precaution (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select those precautions that you wish to delete.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected precautions.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to edit the hazard.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the hazard. |

The date and time at which the hazard was created. |

Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the hazard. |

Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the hazard was last modified. |
Editing hazard master – An overview
This page allows you to edit the details of a hazard. You can edit the details of a hazard that is selected in the “Select Hazard” page. You can also enter a hazard in this page and edit its details.
You can also edit the hazard by copying the details from an existing hazard.
You can edit the details of the hazard such as the description of the hazard, the type of the hazard, the status and any other user-defined information. You can also edit the precautions that have been specified as a preventive measure for the hazard.
The system modifies the hazard details and stores the login ID of the user who modified the hazard along with the date and time of modification.

Enter the hazard from which the details must be copied in the “From Hazard” field.
Click the “Copy” pushbutton to copy the details of the hazard to the hazard that is being modified.
