This page allows you to edit the details of a safety procedure. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Safety Procedure” link in the “Select Procedure” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked safety procedure from the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Safety Procedure” page appears.
Enter the following field if you wish to edit a safety procedure other than the safety procedure selected in the “Select Procedure” page.

On pressing the <Enter> key in the “Safety Procedure” field, the system retrieves the description of the safety procedure in the edit box alongside. You can enter the modified description (Alphanumeric, 150). Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following field in the “Copy” group box to copy the details from an existing procedure:

The safety procedure from which you wish to copy the details (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Click the “Copy” pushbutton.
Note: The system copies the details of the procedure to the procedure that is being modified.

Procedure Category |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the category of the safety procedure. The system lists all categories that have been defined in the “Maintain User Defined Fields” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to specify any category for the procedure. |

Procedure Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the safety procedure. The system lists all types that have been defined in the “Maintain User Defined Fields” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to specify any procedure type. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the safety procedure. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” if you do not wish to refer to this safety procedure from other activities. If you leave the field blank, the system sets the status as “Active”. |
Enter the following fields in the “Hazard” multiline to specify hazards to the safety procedure:

Hazard |
The hazard specified as a part of the safety procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the hazard is already defined in the “Create Hazard” activity and is in the “Active” status. |

Enter the following fields in the “Hazards” multiline:

Any additional information about the hazard (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the hazard from which you wish to view the precautions:
Click the “Show Precautions” pushbutton.
The system displays the following field:

The hazard for which precautions are retrieved. |
The system retrieves the following fields in the “Precautions” multiline:

Precautions |
The precautions that must be taken for preventing the selected hazard. |

Any additional information about the precaution. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the “Hazards” multiline to select those hazards, which you wish to delete from the safety procedure.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the selected hazards from the procedure.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to create the safety procedure.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The login ID of the user who created the safety procedure. |

Created Date |
The date and time at which the procedure was created. |

Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the safety procedure. |

Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the safety procedure was last modified. |
Editing safety procedure – An overview
This page allows you to edit the details of a safety procedure. You can edit the details of a safety procedure that is selected from the “Select Procedure” page. You can also directly enter a safety procedure in this page and edit it. You can edit the details of the safety procedure such as its description, status, category, type and the hazards that are included in the safety procedure.
You can also edit the safety procedure by copying the details from an existing safety procedure.
The system edits the safety procedure and stores the login ID of the user who modified the safety procedure along with the date and time of modification.

You can modify the safety procedure by copying the details from an existing safety procedure.
Enter the safety procedure from which details must be copied in the “From Safety Proc” field.
Click the “Copy” pushbutton.
The system modifies the safety procedure by the copied details.
