This activity allows you to define the various types of classification of the calibrations that are performed on equipment in a plant. Tell me more.
Select the “Define Calibration Types” link under the “Calibration Schedule” business component.
The “Define Calibration Types” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Calib. Types” multiline:

Calib. Types |
The unique identifier for the calibration type (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be filled with a combination of characters and numbers and cannot be left blank. Once created, this field cannot be modified. |

The textual description of the calibration type (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the type. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” to disable the type from future reference in other activities. The system sets the status as “Active”, if you leave the field blank. |
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the type. |

Created Date |
The date on which the type was created. |
|
Created Time |
The time at which type was created. |

Last Mod. By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the calibration type. |
|
Last Mod. Date |
The date on which the type was last modified. |
|
Last Mod. Time |
The time at which the type was last modified. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select those calibration types that you do not wish to create.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the calibration types selected in the multiline.
Click the “Submit” pushbutton to create or update the modified details of the calibration types.
Note: The system creates the calibration types and displays the created and modified date and time, and the login ID of the user who created or modified the calibration type.
