This page allows you to edit the calibration order that is already created. Tell me more.

The “Edit Calibration Order” page appears.

Calib. Order

The calibration order you wish to modify (Alphanumeric, 18).

 

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the calibration order.

  The system displays the following fields:

Date

The date on which the calibration is done on the equipment.

Status

The status of the calibration order, which can be “Fresh” or “Closed”.

Desc.

The description of the calibration order (Alphanumeric, 150).

Equipment

The equipment for which calibration must be done (Alphanumeric, 30) Mandatory. Ensure that the equipment is already defined in the “Create Equipment“ activity of the “Equipment Induction“ business component and is in “Active” status. Also ensure that the equipment is of type “Normal”, “Rotable” or “Tool”.

Task/Proc.

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to attach a task or a standard procedure to the calibration order. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Task - Select this option if you wish to attach task to the calibration order.

 
  • SP - Select this option if you wish to attach standard procedure to the calibration order.

Code

The identifier of the task or the standard procedure that you wish to attach to the calibration order (Alphanumeric, 30). If you are specifying a task, ensure that the task is already defined in the “Create Task” activity and is in the “Active” status. If you are specifying a standard procedure, ensure that the procedure is already defined in the “Create Procedure” activity and is in the “Active” status.

The description of the task or standard procedure is displayed alongside.

Calib. Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the calibration type. The system lists all the calibration types that have been defined in the “Define Calibration Types” activity of the “Calibration Schedule” business component, that are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to specify the calibration type.

Priority

Use the drop-down list box to modify the priority assigned to the calibration order. The system lists all the priorities that have been defined in the “Define Priority” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component, that are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank if you do not wish to assign a priority for the calibration order.

Work Group

The work group that is responsible for executing the calibration order (Alphanumeric, 30 ) Mandatory. Ensure that the work group is already defined in the “Create Work Group” activity of the “Work Group” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Scheduled Calib. Date

The date on which the calibration is scheduled on the equipment (Date Format).

Actual Calib. Date

The date on which the equipment is actually calibrated (Date Format).

Note: Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you wish to close the calibration order.

The system displays the following field:

Last Calib. Valid Till

The date till which the last calibration done on the equipment is valid.

Comments

Any additional information about the calibration order (Alphanumeric, 255).

Calibrated By

The login ID of the user who raised the calibration order (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the employee entered in this field is already defined in the ”Employee Information” business component of Ramco Human Resource Management Solution.

 

Help facility available.

The system retrieves the parameters for which calibration is done on the equipment, in the “Calib. Details” multiline.

Parameter

The parameter for which the equipment must be checked for calibration (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the parameter is already defined in the “Create Parameter” activity and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the parameter is already attached to the equipment in the “Create Equipment” activity.

The system displays the following fields:

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Attribute”, “Consumption” or “Range”.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the consumption or range parameter.

Set Point

The value of the parameter at which the calibration must be done on the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that you enter a numeric value if you have specified a consumption or a range parameter. If you have specified an attribute parameter, ensure that the non-numeric value that you enter already exists in the list of attribute parameter values defined in the “Create Parameter” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component.

Pre Calib.

The reading on the equipment before calibrating (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that you enter a numeric value if you have specified consumption or a range parameter. If you have specified an attribute parameter, ensure that the non-numeric value that you enter already exists in the list of attribute parameter values that are already defined in the “Create Parameter” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component.

Post Calib.

The reading on the equipment after calibrating (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that you enter a numeric value if you have specified consumption or a range parameter. If you have specified an attribute parameter, ensure that the non-numeric value that you enter already exists in the list of attribute parameter values that are already defined in the “Create Parameter” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component.

Master Instrument Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the master equipment used for calibration. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Internal - Select this option if you wish to utilize equipment in the plant as master equipment for calibration.

 
  • External - Select this option if you wish to utilize equipment not belonging to the plant as master equipment for calibration.

Master Instrument

The equipment to be used as the master equipment for calibration (Alphanumeric, 30). If the “Master Instrument” is of type “Internal”, ensure that the equipment entered in this field

  • is already created in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • is not defined as a placeholder

UL Of Tolerance

The upper limit of the tolerance range that can be allowed for the equipment to be calibrated (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following:

 
  • A numeric value is entered, if you have specified consumption or a range parameter.

 
  • The value entered is equal to or lesser than the value entered in the “Set Point” field.

 
  • If you are specifying an attribute parameter, ensure that the non-numeric value that you enter already exists in the list of attribute parameter values defined in the “Create Parameter” activity.

LL Of Tolerance

The lower limit of the tolerance range that can be allowed for the equipment to be calibrated (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure the following:

 
  • A numeric value is entered, if you have specified consumption or a range parameter.

 
  • The value entered is equal to or lesser than the value entered in the “Set Point” field.

 
  • If you are specifying an attribute parameter, ensure that the non-numeric value that you enter already exists in the list of attribute parameter values defined in the “Create Parameter” activity.

Calib. Date

The date on which the calibration is done (Date Format).

Calibrated By

The login ID of the user who calibrated the equipment (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the employee entered in this field is already defined in the “Employee Information” business component of Ramco Human Resources Management Solution.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Calib. Result

The result of the calibration, which can be “Pass” or “Fail”. The system displays “Pass”, if the value displayed in the “Post Calibration” field falls within the range displayed between the values displayed in the “UL of Tolerance” and the “LL of Tolerance” fields. If the value falls beyond this range, the system displays “Fail”.

Remarks

Any additional information regarding the calibration of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 255).

Calib. Valid From

The date, starting from which, the calibration done on the equipment is valid (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you wish to close the calibration order.

Calib. Valid Till

The date till which the calibration done on the equipment is valid (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if you wish to close the calibration order. Also ensure that the date entered in this field is equal to or greater than the date entered in the “Calibration Valid From” field.

Calib. Result

Use the drop-down list box to set the result of calibration as “Pass” or “Fail”. The system provides the following options:

 
  • Pass – Select this option if you wish to set the result of calibration done on the equipment as passed.

 
  • Fail – Select this option if you wish to set the result of calibration done on the equipment as failed.

Fresh

Click this radio button if you wish to change the status of the calibration order to “Fresh”.

Note: You cannot change the status of a “Closed” or “Cancelled” calibration order to “Fresh”.

To close the calibration order

Close

Select this radio button if you wish to close the calibration order.

Note: You can close the calibration order only if it is in the “Fresh” status.

In the “Option Settings” activity of the “Clearance Permit” business component, if you have specified that closure of calibration orders is not allowed without returning the clearance permits, the system will not allow you to close the calibration order for which clearance permits exist in an “Issued” status.

To cancel the calibration order

Cancel

Select this radio button if you wish to cancel the calibration order.

Note: You cannot cancel a calibration order that is in “Closed” status.

The system does the following:

  •  

Calculates the next due date for the calendar based schedule by adding the actual date on which the calibration is done and the interval.

  •  

 

Calculates the usage based schedule by adding the current parameter value and the interval.

Note: The system allows you to close a calibration order only if there are no clearance permits in the “Issued” status, raised for the calibration order.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the calibration order.

Created Date

The date and time at which the calibration order is created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who modified the calibration order.

Last Modified Date

The date and time at which the calibration order is modified.

Editing calibration order – An overview

This page allows you to edit the calibration order that is already created. You can modify the following details of the calibration order:

You can also change the validity period of the calibration done on the equipment and also close the calibration order. On closing the calibration order, the system records the date on which the next calibration is due on the equipment.

You can also cancel the calibration order in this activity. The system cancels the order and sets the status of the calibration order to “Cancelled”.
