This page allows you to attach inspection points to the parameters belonging to the specification template. Tell me more
Select the “Attach Inspection Points” link at the bottom of the “Create Specification Template” or “Edit Specification Template” page.
The “Inspection Points” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

Classification |
The classification for which inspection points must be attached. |

Sub-Classification |
The sub-classification of the classification. |
Enter the following field:

Parameter |
Use the drop-down list box to select the parameter to which inspection points must be attached. The system lists all “Range” and “Attribute” parameters that are attached to the classification – sub-classification combination. |
Enter the following fields in the “Inspection Points” multiline:

Inspection Point |
The inspection point to be attached to the parameter (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the inspection point is already defined in the “Create Inspection Point” activity and is in “Active” status. |

Press <Enter>. The system displays the “Description” field in the multiline. |

The description of the inspection point. |
Enter the following field in the multiline:

Remarks |
Any additional information about attaching inspection points to the parameter (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to remove the inspection point from the parameter.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected inspection points from the parameter.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to attach inspection point to the “Classification – Sub-Classification – Parameter” combination.
Attaching inspection points to the parameters of the specification template – An overview
You can attach inspection points to the parameters belonging to the specification template. When the specification template is attached to the equipment, these inspection points are automatically associated to the equipment along with the parameters. You can also specify any additional information about attaching inspection points to the parameters.
The system attaches the inspection points to the parameters and stores the login ID of the user who has attached the inspection points along with the date and time of attachment.

Enter the parameter for which you wish to specify inspection points, in the “Parameter” field.
Enter the inspection point to be attached to the parameter, in the “Inspection Point” field in the multiline.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to attach the inspection points.
When the specification template is attached to the equipment, these inspection points are automatically associated to the equipment, along with the parameters.
