Editing ganged group information

You can modify the details of the ganged group selected in the “Select Ganged Group” page. Tell me more.

Select the “Edit Ganged Group” link in the “Select Ganged Group” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked ganged group, in the multiline of the same page.

The “Edit Ganged Group” page appears.

If you wish to modify a ganged group other than the ganged group selected in the previous page, enter the following field:

Ganged Group	The ganged group for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30).
	Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the ganged group. The textual description of the ganged group is displayed alongside. You can modify the description (Alphanumeric, 150).
	Zoom facility available.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the ganged group to “Active” or “Inactive”.
	Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable the ganged group from future reference in other activities.

The system lists the equipment belonging to the ganged group, in the “Equipment” multiline.

Enter the following field in the “Equipment” multiline, to add equipment to the ganged group:

Eqp.	The equipment to be included in the ganged group (Alphanumeric, 30). The equipment should have already been defined in the “Create Equipment” activity and should be in “Active” status. Also, the equipment should not be of type “Rotable”. This field cannot be modified.
	Help facility available
	Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” field in the multiline.

Note: Ensure that the equipment is unique within the multiline and across ganged groups. This means that the equipment cannot belong to multiple ganged groups.

Enter the following field:

Remarks

Any additional remarks pertaining to the equipment. Typically, the reason for including the equipment in the ganged group can be entered here (Alphanumeric, 255).

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to remove the equipment from the ganged group.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the equipment from the ganged group.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton, to update the modified details of the ganged group.

The system displays the following field in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By	The login ID of the user who created the ganged group.
Created Date	The date and time on which the ganged group was created.
Last Modified By	The login ID of the user who last modified the ganged group.
Last Modified Date	The date and time on which the ganged group was last modified.

Click the “Cancel” button to return to the previous page.

Editing ganged group information – An overview

You can also directly enter a ganged group other than the ganged group selected in the previous page and retrieve its details for modification. Details such as the ganged group description and status can be modified. You can also add new equipment or delete equipment that is already included in the ganged group. You are provided with a help facility to select the equipment to be added to the ganged group.

The system updates the details of the ganged group and sets the last modified date to the current date and stores the name of the currently logged in user.

Edit a ganged group

You can edit the details of a ganged group that has already been defined.

Edit the description of the ganged group in the edit box provided alongside the “Ganged Group” field.
Edit the status of the ganged group either to “Active” or “Inactive”.
Re-define the equipment in the ganged group by adding new equipment in the “Equipment” field in the multilane or by deleting an existing equipment from the ganged group.
Click the “Edit” pushbutton to edit the ganged group.
