Attaching inspection points to the parameters of the asset structure – An overview

Edit Asset Structure Code - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to attach inspection points to the parameters of an asset structure. An inspection point refers to the physical location on the equipment where the performance of the equipment is monitored based on certain measures. There can be many inspection points for single equipment. For example, you can define many inspection points on the equipment to monitor the vibrations of the equipment. The inspection points are defined in the “Create Inspection Points” activity.

When the equipment is created from the asset structure, the inspection points are also attached to the equipment along with the parameters. The inspection points are the physical points on the equipment where a specific parameter must be inspected. You can attach inspection points to a specific asset structure – parameter combination. The system attaches the inspection points and stores the login ID of the user who attached the inspection points, along with the date and time of attachment.
