Attaching spare parts to the asset structure – An overview

Edit Asset Structure Code - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to specify the spare parts to the asset structure. These spare parts would be utilized for carrying out the maintenance activities on equipment that is created from a “Normal” or “Rotable” asset structure.

While the equipment that are created from the “Rotable” or “Normal” asset structure automatically inherit the spare parts that are attached to the asset structure, a “Spares” asset structure cannot be used to create equipment. You can attach spare parts to the ‘spares’ asset structure and then attach the ‘spares’ asset structure to any asset structure, while creating the asset structure hierarchy.

Spare parts that are defined with an item number and a variant in the ”Inventory Management System” module of “Ramco Corporate Solutions”.are identified for the asset structure in this page. You can enter the spare part item number, variant, quantity required, spare part number and any other additional information about entering the spare part for the asset structure. You can also modify or delete the spare parts that are already identified for the asset structure.
