In this screen, you can select the equipment or location by carrying out a search based on filter criteria such as the equipment or location, its description, status and location. The system retrieves the equipment or location based on the search criteria, in the multiline.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Equipment / Location” field in the main screen.
The “Equipment / Location Help” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Help On |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to retrieve an equipment or a location. The system provides the options “Equipment” and “Location”. The system displays “Equipment” by default. |

Code |
The equipment or location for which the details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment or location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or locations with values similar to the value entered here. |

Desc. |
The description of the equipment or location (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or locations with similar description. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the equipment or location to be retrieved. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all equipment or locations irrespective of the status. The system displays “Active”, by default. |

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the equipment or location to be retrieved. If you have selected “Equipment” in the “Help On” field, the system fills this field with the options “Normal”, “Rotable”, “Tool” and “PlaceHolder”. If you have selected “Location” in the “Help On” field, the system fills this field with all the location types that have been defined in the “Define Location Types” activity of the “Maintenance Organization” business component. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |

Location |
The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment whose locations are similar to the location entered here. |

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the group to which the equipment or location belongs. If you have selected “Equipment” in the “Help On” field, the system fills this field with the options “Failure Group”, “Ganged Group” and “User Defined Group”. If you have selected “Location” in the “Help On” field, the system provides the option “User Defined Group”. |

Group Code |
The code of the group selected in the “Type” field (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or locations belonging to the group that is similar to the group code selected here. |

Condition |
Use the drop-down list box to select the condition of the equipment. The system provides fills in this field with all the equipment conditions that are defined in the “Define Equipment Conditions” activity If you have selected “Location” in the “Help On” field, the system displays “Not Applicable”. |

Include Child ? |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, to retrieve equipment or locations along with their child equipment or locations. The system displays “No” by default. |

Include Also Down ? |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, to retrieve equipment along with their dependant equipment. The system displays “No” by default. |
Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the equipment and locations in the multiline.
Ø Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Help On |
Indicates whether the system has retrieved equipment or location. The system displays either “Equipment” or “Location”. |

The equipment or location retrieved by the system. |

Desc. |
The description of the equipment or location. |
|
Status |
The status of the equipment or location, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
|
Type |
The type of the equipment or location. |
|
Parent |
The parent of the equipment or location. |
|
Location |
The location of the equipment. |
|
Group Code |
The group to which the equipment or location belongs. |
|
Eqp. Condition |
The condition of the equipment. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the equipment or location.
Click the “Ok” pushbutton.
