In this page, you can retrieve the details of placeholders that are already defined. You can carry out a search based on the placeholder, its description, the equipment to which the placeholder is attached, the rotable that is attached to the placeholder, the item and the variant of the placeholder and its status. The details of the placeholders that match the specified filter criteria are displayed in the multiline.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the "Placeholders" field in the main screen.
The “Place Holder Help” page appears.
Enter the following filter criteria to search for a placeholder:

Placeholder |
The placeholder you wish to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the placeholder in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all placeholders similar to the placeholder entered here. |

Desc. |
The description of the placeholder (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all placeholders with description similar to the description entered here. |

Eqp. |
The equipment to which the placeholder is attached (Alphanumerci,30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all placeholders that are attached to similar equipment. |

Rotable |
The rotable that is attached to the placeholder (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the rotable in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all placeholders to which similar rotables are attached. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve placeholders based on the status. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the filed blank, to retrieve placeholders irrespective of the status. The system displays “Active”, by default. |

Item |
The item number of the placeholder (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the item number in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all placeholders with similar item numbers. |

Variant |
The variant number of the item (Alphanumeric, 8). You can enter the variant in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all placeholders with similar “Item-Variant” combinations. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

The rotable that is attached to the placeholder. |

The status of the placeholder, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”. |

The variant of the item. |

Show placeholders mapped to alternate items |
Check this box to retrieve placeholders that are mapped to alternate items. |
Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the placeholder.
Click the “Ok” pushbutton.
