In this screen, you can select the parent equipment by carrying out a search based on filter criteria such as equipment, its description, type, location, parent equipment, work group, classification and sub-classification. The system retrieves parent equipment based on the search criteria, in the multiline.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Parent Equipment” field in the main screen.
The “Parent Help” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:

Eqp. |
The equipment for which the details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment that are similar to the value entered here. |

Desc. |
The description of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment with descriptions similar to the description entered here. |

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the equipment for which the details must be retrieved. The system provides the options, “Normal”, “Rotable”, “Tool” and “PlaceHolder”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all equipment irrespective of their type. |

Location |
The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment whose locations are similar to the location entered here. |

Parent |
The parent equipment of the equipment to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment whose parent equipment is similar to the equipment entered here. |

Work Group |
The work group that is responsible for carrying maintenance activities on the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the work group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all parent equipment on which similar work group is responsible for carrying out maintenance activities. |

Classification |
The classification to which the equipment belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment belonging to similar classification. |

Sub-Classification |
The sub-classification of the classification (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the sub-classification in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment belonging to similar classification – sub-classification combination. |
Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the parent equipment in the multiline.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the equipment.
Click the “Ok” pushbutton.
