Basics of using a Ramco iEnterprise Series 4.0 web page

Using On Line Help

In this page, you can retrieve the details of attribute and range parameters that are already defined. You can carry out a search based on the parameter, its description, status and unit of measurement. You can also retrieve the parameters attached to a specific equipment or location. The details of parameters that match the specified filter criteria are displayed in the multiline.

The “Help On Parameters” page appears.

Parameter

The identifier of the parameter (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the parameter in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the parameters with values that are similar to the value entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the parameters.

Desc.

The textual description of the parameter (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the parameters with descriptions that are similar to the description entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve all the parameters.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the parameter. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve all parameters irrespective of their status. The system sets the field to “Active” by default.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the range parameter (Alphanumeric, 10).

The system displays the following field:

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Attribute” or “Range”.

Parameter Attached To

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether parameters attached to “Equipment” or “Location” must be retrieved. The system displays “Equipment”, by default.

Code

The code of the equipment or location for which the attached parameters must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30).

The system displays the following fields in the multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Parameter

The identifier of the parameter.

Desc.

The textual description of the parameter.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the range parameter.

Status

The status of the parameter, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Range” or “Attribute”.

Attached To

Indicates whether the parameter is attached to “Equipment” or “Location”.
