Using On Line Help

The “Edit Formula” page appears.

Formula

The formula to be edited (Alphanumeric, 30).

 

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the details of the formula. The description of the formula is retrieved alongside. You can modify the description, if required (Alphanumeric, 150).

 

Zoom facility available.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to modify the status of the formula. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the field to “Inactive”, if you wish to disable the formula from any further reference in other activities. The system displays “Active”, by default.

Formula Content

The content of the formula (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. You can modify the formula content directly or re-build the formula by transferring the parameters along with the inspection points from the multiline.

To search for a parameter

Parameter

The parameter that must be included in the formula (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the parameter in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all parameters similar to the parameter entered here.

Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the parameter to be retrieved. The system provides the options “Range” and “Consumption”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all parameters, which belong to both “Range” and “Consumption”. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

Desc.

The description of the parameter to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all parameters with description similar to the description entered here.

The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results Parameter” multiline:

Parameter

The parameter retrieved by the system.

Type

The type of the parameter, which can be “Range” or “Consumption”.

Desc.

The description of the parameter.

To search for an inspection point

Inspection Point

The inspection point that must be included in the formula (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the inspection point in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all inspection points similar to the inspection point entered here.

Desc.

The description of the inspection point (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all inspection points with similar description.

The system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results Inspection Points” multiline:

Inspection Point

The inspection point retrieved by the system.

The description of the inspection point.

The following must be borne in mind before transferring an inspection point:

Note: The system transfers the inspection point and appends it to the preceding parameter with “@” symbol. This indicates that the parameter value at the specific inspection point must be used in the formula for calculation purposes.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the formula.

Created Date

The date and time at which the formula was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the formula.

Last Modified Date

Editing a formula – An overview

Edit Formula - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to edit a formula. You can edit the formula selected in the previous page. You can also enter a formula directly in this page and edit its details. You can modify the description, status and the content of the formula. You can modify the formula content directly or re-build the formula with the parameters and the inspection points that are transferred from the multiline.

The system modifies the formula and stores the login ID of the user who has modified the formula along with the date and time of modification.
