Select the “Specify User Access Rights” activity under the “Maintenance Organization” business component.
The “Specify User Access Rights” page appears.
Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.
Select the following details from the header:

Transaction |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of transaction. The combo is loaded with the values “Blank” and “Work Log”. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |

Access Right Enabled |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the access right is enabled or not. The combo is loaded with the values “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |

Entity |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the entity. The combo is loaded with the values defined for work logs in “Define Work Log” activity of Work Log component. |
The system displays the following in the header:

Entity Description |
The description of the entity. |
Enter the following details in the “Map by User/Role” multiline:

Allowed User |
The name of the user allowed for transaction. Ensure that the entered value is valid. |
|
Allowed Role |
The name of the role allowed for transaction. |
Note: You can specify either user or role in a particular row. The single row cannot have both role and user together.
Atleast one row must be selected in the multiline.
Click the “Save/Role” pushbutton to save the user or role details.
Click the “Retrieve” pushbutton to view the mapped entities or events in the multiline.
Enter the following details in the “Access Rights” multiline:

Event |
The system displays the following events “Write In Work Log”, “Process As Work Request”, “Process as Work Order”, “Post as Information”, “Post as History”, “Post to Pending Job List”, “Transfer Log To”, “Transfer Log From” and “View Work Log” if the transaction is “Work Log”. |

Applicable |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the access right is applicable for the selected transaction. The combo is loaded with the values “No” and “Yes”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page. |
The system displays the following in the “Access Rights” group box:

Created By |
The name of the user who created the user access right details. |
|
Created Date |
The date and time on which the user access right details are created. |
|
Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the user access right details. |
|
Modified Date |
The date and time on which the user access right details were last modified. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the details.
