In this page, you can attach trouble shooting guides to the location. Tell me more

Location

The location to which trouble shooting guides must be attached (Alphanumeric, 30).

 

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the trouble shooting guides that are already attached to the location. The description of the location is displayed alongside.

The system retrieves the trouble shooting guides that are already attached to the location, in the “TSG” multiline.

TSG

The trouble shooting guide to be attached to the location (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the trouble shooting guide has already been defined in the “Create Trouble Shooting Guide” activity of the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component and is in “Active” status.

 

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the “Description” field in the multiline.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Desc.

The description of the trouble shooting guide. If you have attached a new trouble shooting guide, the system refreshes this field only on clicking the “Update” pushbutton.

Remarks

Any additional information about attaching the trouble shooting guide to the location (Alphanumeric, 255).

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The login ID of the user who has created the location.

Created Date

The date and time at which the location was created.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who has last modified the location.

Last Modified Date

Attaching trouble shooting guides to the location – An overview

A trouble shooting guide (TSG) consists of a list of standard problems that are commonly reported in the equipment or location and the corrective action to be taken for solving such problems. Whenever a problem or failure is reported in the location, you can identify the corrective action to be taken, by referring to the trouble shooting guide attached to the location.

Using this page, you can attach trouble shooting guides to the location selected in the main page. You can also directly enter a location other than the location selected in the main page, and attach the trouble shooting guides to it. You are provided with a help facility to select the trouble shooting guide.
