In this screen, you can search for locations. You can carry out a search based on the location, its description, parent location, planning group, location type, landmark and its status.
The system retrieves those locations that are a part of the primary system.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the "Locations" field in the main screen.
The “Help On Location” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a location.

Location Code |
The location to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all locations with codes similar to the code entered in this field. |

Desc. |
The description of the location (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all locations with description similar to the description entered here. |

Parent Loc. |
The location that is the parent of the location (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all locations, which belong to similar parent locations. |

Planning Group |
The planning group of the location (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the planning group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all locations, which belong to similar planning groups. |

Landmark |
The description of any physical landmark in the plant that helps in identifying the location (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the landmark in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all locations, which can be identified by similar landmarks. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the location. The system provides the options ”Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve locations irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |

Location Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the location. The system lists all the types that are defined in the “Define Location Types” activity and which are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank to retrieve all location types. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to retrieve the search results.
Note: If all the fields are left blank, the system retrieves all the locations in the multiline.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” group box:

Location Code |
The location retrieved by the system. |

Desc. |
The description of the location. |
|
Parent Loc. |
The parent location of the location. |
|
Planning Group |
The planning group of the location. |
|
Landmark |
The landmark that helps in identifying the location. |
|
Location Type |
The type to which the location belongs. |
|
Status |
The status of the location, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the location.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
