This activity allows you to define the various types of classification of preventive maintenance schedules.
Select the “Define PM Types” link from the left pane.
The “Define PM Types” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “PM Types” multiline:

PM Type |
The unique identifier of the preventive maintenance type (Alphanumeric, 30). This field can be a combination of characters and numbers and cannot be left blank. Once created, this field cannot be modified. |

Desc. |
The textual description of the preventive maintenance type (Alphanumeric, 150). |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the preventive maintenance type. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the status as “Inactive” to disable the preventive maintenance type from being accessed in other activities. The system sets the status as “Active”, if you leave the field blank. |
The system fills in the following fields in the multiline:

Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the preventive maintenance type. |

Created Date |
The date on which the preventive maintenance type was created. |
|
Created Time |
The time at which the preventive maintenance type was created. |
|
Last Mod. By |
The login ID of the user, who last modified the preventive maintenance type. |
|
Last Mod. Date |
The date on which the preventive maintenance type was last modified. |
|
Last Mod. Time |
The time at which the preventive maintenance type was last modified. |
Click the “Submit” pushbutton to create the preventive maintenance types or update the modified details of the preventive maintenance types.
Note: The system creates the preventive maintenance types and displays the created and modified date and time, and the name of the user who created and modified the preventive maintenance type.
