Interval |
The value of the parameter after which preventive maintenance must be carried out (Decimal). This field should not be left blank, if a parameter has been specified in the Parameter field. Ensure the following: |
|
|
|
Note: The daily usage of the equipment or location is computed as the product of the daily run hours of the equipment and the hourly usage of the parameter of the equipment.
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:
Interval Unit |
The unit of measurement of the parameter. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
First Due At |
The value of the parameter on which preventive maintenance is first due to be performed (Decimal). This field should not be left blank, if an interval is specified in the Interval field in the multiline. Ensure that the value is positive. |
Extended Value |
If you are unable to start work on the preventive maintenance at the value specified in the First Due At field, enter the value of the parameter at which you wish to carry out the preventive maintenance on the equipment or location (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered here is a positive number. |
Adjust Next Due Value |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to adjust the subsequent parameter values on which preventive maintenance must be carried out based on the value entered in the Extended Value field. The system provides the options: Yes and No. Do not leave this field blank, if you have specified a value in the Extended Value field in the multiline. |

Editing interval schedules of the preventive maintenance template - An overview
This page allows you to edit the details of the interval schedules that are already defined for the preventive maintenance template.
If you have defined a calendar-based schedule, you can modify the time interval after which the preventive maintenance is due to be performed, the date on which the initial preventive maintenance must be performed on the equipment/location, the unit of the time interval and the type of the interval.
If you are unable to start the work on the preventive maintenance on the next due date, you can specify the extended date on which you wish to start the preventive maintenance. You are also given the option of adjusting the new due date based on the extended date. This can be explained with the help of the following example:
Suppose preventive maintenance is due to be performed on April 1 and an interval of one week is provided for carrying out the next preventive maintenance. If you have entered an extended date of April 3 and have set the option of adjusting the next due date as Yes, the system recalculates the next due dates as April 3, April 10, April 17and so on. If you have set the option of adjusting the next due date as No, the system arrives at the next due dates as April 3, April 8, April 15 and so on.
If you have defined a usage-based schedule, you can redefine the parameters based on which the preventive maintenance must be done and the value of the parameter after which the preventive maintenance must be done. You can also modify the parameter value on which the first preventive maintenance is due on the equipment or location. If you are not able to perform the preventive maintenance on the specified parameter value, you can enter the extended value based on which the maintenance can be performed. You can also specify whether the subsequent parameter values must be adjusted or not based on the extended parameter value.
You can also edit the number of work orders that must be generated based on the preventive maintenance schedules.
Create Parameter activity of the Equipment Induction business component
Specify the execution option of the schedules
You can specify the type of the interval based on which preventive maintenance schedules must be raised.
Set the Interval Type field as Fixed Interval, if preventive maintenance must be carried out on equipment or location after the specified period in the Interval field irrespective of whether the previous preventive maintenance is completed or not.
Set the Interval Type field as Actual Interval, if preventive maintenance must be carried out on equipment or location after the specified period in the Interval field has lapsed and only after the previous preventive maintenance is completed.
Specify the execution option of the schedules
You can specify the number of work orders that can be generated for carrying out preventive maintenance based on the schedules.
