This page allows you to specify skills for the preventive maintenance template for carrying out preventive maintenance based on schedules that are created from the template. You can enter the tool code, the number of tools required, the number of hours for which the tool is required and any other information about specifying the tool for the preventive maintenance schedule.
Select the "Tools Requirement" link from the bottom of the "Edit PM Template" page.
The "Tool Requirement" page appears.
The system displays the following fields:

The system displays the details of the tools that are already specified for carrying out preventive maintenance, in the Tools multiline. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline, if you wish to specify tools for carrying out preventive maintenance:

Tool Code |
The tool required for carrying out preventive maintenance (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the tool is already defined in the Add Tool activity of the Tool business component. This field cannot be modified. |

Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the Description and Rate fields in the multiline. |

The system displays the following field in the multiline: |

Desc. |
The textual description of the tool. The system displays this field when you click the Edit pushbutton. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:

Quantity (Nos.) |
The number of tools required (Decimal). Data entry in this field is mandatory if you have specified a tool in the Tool Code field. Ensure that the quantity is positive. |

Duration (Hrs.) |
The number of hours for which the tool is required (Decimal). Data entry in this field is mandatory if you have specified a tool in the Tool Code field. Ensure that the duration is positive. |
The system displays the following field in the multiline:

Rate |
The unit rate per hour of the tool. The system displays this field when you click the Edit pushbutton. |

Estimated Cost |
The estimated cost of utilizing the tool for carrying out preventive maintenance. The system displays this field when you click the Edit pushbutton. |

Remarks |
Any additional information about specifying the tool for carrying out preventive maintenance (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the Select column of the multiline, to select the tools that you wish to delete from the preventive maintenance.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline to delete the selected tools from the preventive maintenance.
Click the Edit pushbutton to update the modified details of the tool.
Note: The system updates the tool details, adds new tools to the task and deletes tools that have been marked for deletion. It also fills in the Description, Rate and Estimated Cost fields in the multiline.
The system displays the following fields in the Record Statistics group box:

The login ID of the user who defined the template. |

The date and time at which the template was defined. |

The login ID of the user who last modified the template. |

The date and time at which the template was last modified. |

Specify the tools requirement for preventive maintenance
You can specify the tools that are required for carrying out the preventive maintenance.
Enter the tool that is required for carrying out preventive maintenance in the Tool Code in the multiline.
Enter the number of tools required in the Quantity (Nos.) field.
Specify the number of hours for which the tool is required in the Duration (Hrs) field.
Click the Edit pushbutton.
