Selecting parameter for amending its value

This page allows you to select the parameter for which you wish to amend the value. Tell me more.

Select the “Amend Parameter Value” link under the “Parameter Log” business component.

The “Select Parameter” page appears.

To search for a parameter

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for the parameter:

Update On	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to amend the value of a parameter belonging to an equipment or location. The system provides the options “Equipment” and “Location”. The system displays “Equipment”, by default.
Code	The identifier of the equipment or location for which parameter value must be amended (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment or location containing a code similar to the code entered here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to retrieve equipment or location based on the status. The system provides the options “Active” or “Inactive”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve equipment or locations irrespective of the status. The system leaves the field blank, by default.
Desc.	The description of the equipment or location (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment and location with description similar to the description entered here.
Parameter	The parameter of the equipment or location for which you wish to reset the meter (Alphanumeric, 30). The system retrieves all the equipment or location to which parameters similar to the parameter entered here is attached.
Inspection Point	The inspection point of the parameter to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the inspection point in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all parameters, which are attached to inspection points similar to the inspection point entered here.
Location	The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment that are attached to the location similar to the location entered here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the equipment or location.

The system retrieves the equipment along with the parameters that are attached to it in the "Search Results” multiline:

Code	The equipment or location retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The description of the equipment or location.
Status	The status of the equipment or location, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”.
Parameter	The parameter retrieved by the system.
Inspection Point	The inspection point attached to the equipment on which the parameter is measured.

Click the hyperlinked equipment or location in the multiline, to amend its parameter values.

Select Parameter – An overview

This page allows you to select the parameter for which you wish to amend the value. You can select the parameter by carrying out a search based on the equipment or location, the status of the equipment or location, the description, the location of the equipment, the parameter that you wish to amend and the inspection point on which the parameter is measured. The system retrieves the details of the parameters along with the inspection point on which it is measured and the equipment or location to which it belongs.
