Viewing the values recorded for a parameter

View Parameter Values

This page allows you to view the details recorded for the parameter selected in the “Select Parameter” page. Tell me more.

Select the “View Parameter Values” link in the “Select Parameter” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked parameter in the multiline of the same page.

The “View Parameter Values” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Select Equipment/Location” group box:

Parameter	The parameter for which the values must be viewed.
Desc.	The description of the parameter. Zoom facility available.
UOM	The unit of measurement, if the parameter is of type “Consumption” or “Range”.
Parameter Type	The type of the parameter.

Enter the following fields to select the equipment or location for which you wish to view the parameter values:

Update On	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to update parameter values on equipment or location. The system provides the options “Equipment” and “Location”. The system displays “Equipment”, by default.
Code	The identifier of the equipment or location for which parameter values must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment / location similar to the code entered here, and to which the parameter displayed in the “Parameter” field is attached.
Desc.	The description of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment / location with description similar to the description entered here, and to which the parameter displayed in the “Parameter” field is attached.
Location	The location of the equipment (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the location in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all equipment that are associated to a location similar to the location entered here, and to which the parameter displayed in the “Parameter” field is attached.

Click the “Search” pushbutton.

The system retrieves the equipment for which the parameter values must be viewed in the “Parameter Values” multiline.

The system displays the following fields in the “Parameter Values” multiline:

Code	The equipment or location for which the parameter values must be viewed.
Desc.	The description of the equipment or location.
	Zoom facility available.
Inspection Point	The inspection point on the equipment on which the parameter is measured.
Date	The date on which the value is updated.
Time	The time at which the value is updated.
Parameter value	The value of the parameter before it was updated.
Reported By	The employee ID of the user who reported the parameter values.
Remarks	Any additional information about the parameter value.
Update Mode	The mode in which the parameter was updated. The system displays one of the following:
	Direct Update - If the parameter is updated manually.
	Direct Update On <Parameter> - If a consumption parameter is updated, when the parameter to which it is related to by a formula, was updated.
	Update On <Equipment> - If a consumption parameter is updated when the parameter of this equipment was updated.
	Update On <Equipment + Parameter> - If a consumption parameter was updated by a formula, which is in turn related to the updation of the equipment parameter.
	Update On <Inspection Point + Parameter> - If a range parameter was updated by a formula that is related to the parameter that was being updated.
	Meter Reset - If a consumption parameter was updated by a meter reset.
	Meter Reset On <Parameter> - If a consumption parameter was updated when the meter was reset for a parameter, to which this parameter is related by a formula.
	Meter Reset On <Equipment> - If a consumption parameter was updated when the meter was reset for a parameter of the equipment.
	Meter Reset On <Equipment + Parameter> - If a consumption parameter was updated when the meter was reset for the parameter of the equipment to which this parameter is related by a formula.
	Amendment - If a parameter is updated by an amendment of the parameter value.
	Inspection Order – If a range or attribute parameter was updated by an inspection order.
	Inspection Order On <Parameter> - If a range or attribute parameter was updated by a formula that is related to this parameter.
Transaction No.	The number of the transaction, if the parameter was updated by a meter reset, inspection order or an amendment.
Formula	If the parameter was updated by a formula, the formula is displayed here.

Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to view the other parameters that are affected by updating the parameter in the multiline.

To proceed, carry out the following

Select the “View Affected Parameters” link at the bottom of the page to view the other parameters that are affected by updating the parameter on the date and time specified in the “Date” and “Time” fields in the multiline.

View Parameter Values – An overview

This page allows you to view the details of the parameter selected in the “Select Parameter” page. You can also select the equipment or location for which you wish to view the parameter details in this page. You can carry out a search based on the equipment or location, its description and the location of the equipment. Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the details of the equipment to which the parameter selected in the “Select Parameter” page is attached. You can view the following details of the parameter:

The equipment or location on which the parameter is monitored
The inspection point, if any, that is attached to the equipment / location
The date and time on which the parameter was last updated
The value of the parameter
Whether the value is a delta value or a new value
The employee ID of the user who updated the value
Any additional information about the parameter value
The manner or mode by which the value of the parameter was updated
If the parameter was updated by a meter rest or inspection order or amendment, the transaction number is displayed
If the parameter was updated by a formula, the formula is displayed
