This activity allows you to define a tool type. Tell me more.
Select the “Define Tool Type” link under the “Tools” business component.
The “Define Tool Type” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Tool Types” multiline:
Tool Type |
A unique identifier of the tool type (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of characters and digits and cannot be left blank. Once created, this field cannot be modified. Ensure that the tool type is unique to the multiline. |
Description |
The textual description of the tool type (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the tool type. The status could be “Active” or ”Inactive”. The system sets the field as “Active” by default. |
Set the status as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the tool type from future reference in other activities. |
Note: If you leave this field blank, the system assigns the “Active” status to the tool type.
Remarks |
Any additional remark or comment pertaining to the tool type (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. |
The system fills in the following multiline fields when you click the “Update” pushbutton:
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the details of the tool type. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the tool type was last modified. |
Last Modified Time |
The time at which the tool type was last modified. |
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the tool type. |
Created Date |
The date on which the tool type was created. |
Created Time |
The time at which the tool type was created. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the tool types for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline to delete the selected tool types.
Click the” Update” pushbutton to create or update the details of the tool types.
Note: The system creates the tool types and displays the created and modified date and time, and the login ID of the user who created or modified the tool type, in the multiline.
