In this page, you can create a failure group and specify all the equipment belonging to the failure group. Tell me more.

Failure Group

A unique identifier for the failure group (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This field can be a combination of alphabets and digits and cannot be left blank.

 

Enter the textual description of the failure group in the edit box alongside (Alphanumeric, 150).

Status

Use the drop-down list box to set the status of the failure group. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Set the field as “Inactive” if you wish to disable the failure group from further reference in other related activities. The system sets this field as “Active”, by default.

User Def. Text

Any additional information about the failure group (Alphanumeric, 30).

Eqp.

The equipment to be attached to the failure group (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that the equipment is already defined in the “Create Equipment” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component and is in the “Active” status. Also ensure that the equipment does not belong to another failure group.

The system displays the following field in the multiline:

The description of the equipment.

Note: The system creates the failure group containing equipment in the multiline.

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the failure group.

Created Date

The date on which the failure group was created.

Last Modified By

In this activity, the system displays the login ID of the user who created the failure group.

Last Modified Date

In this activity, the system displays the date on which the failure group was created.

Creating failure group – An overview

In this page, you can create a failure group and specify all the equipment belonging to the failure group. You can provide a unique code, description and status for the failure group. You are provided with help facility to select the equipment. The equipment can belong to only one failure group at a time. You can also enter any additional information regarding the failure group.
