Using Online Help

This page allows you to retrieve failure groups that are already defined. You can carry out a search based on the failure group, its description, status, the trouble-shooting guides attached, and the equipment that belongs to the failure group. Based on the filter criteria entered, the system retrieves the details of the failure group in the multiline.

The “Help on Failure Group” page appears.

Failure Group

The failure group for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the failure group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the failure groups that are similar to the values entered here.

Desc.

The description of the failure group to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all failure groups whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

Attached to TSG

The trouble-shooting guide attached to the failure group (Alphanumeric, 30). Enter the trouble-shooting guide in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the failure groups to which trouble-shooting guides with similar values are attached.

Mapped To Eqp.

The equipment belonging to the failure group (Alphanumeric, 30). Enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the failure groups to which equipment with similar values belong.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the failure group. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank if you wish to retrieve all failure groups irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Note: The system retrieves all the failure groups in the multiline, if all the fields are left blank.

Failure Group

The failure group retrieved by the system.

Desc.

The description of the failure group.

Status

The status of the failure group, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.
