Using Online Help

This activity allows you to retrieve problem codes. You can retrieve standard or non-standard problem codes by carrying out a search based on problem code, its description, the status and the trouble-shooting guide to which it is attached.

The “Help On Problem Codes” page appears.

Problem Code

The problem code to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the problem code in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all problem codes that are similar to the value entered here.

Desc.

The description of the problem to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all problem codes whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the problem code to be retrieved. The system provides the options “Active” or “Inactive”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all problem codes irrespective of the status. The system leaves this field blank by default.

Std. Problem

Use the drop-down list box to retrieve a standard or a non-standard problem. The system provides the options: “Yes” and “No”. Leave the field blank, to retrieve both standard and non-standard problems. The system leaves the field blank, by default.

From TSG

The trouble-shooting guide to which the problem code is attached to (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the trouble-shooting guide in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all problem codes that are attached to trouble-shooting guides that are similar to the value entered here.

Note: The system retrieves all problem codes if all the fields are left blank.

Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Problem Code

The identifier of the problem code.

Desc.

The description of the problem code.

Status

The status of the problem code, which can be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Std. Problem

Indicates whether the problem is a standard or a non-standard problem. The system displays either “Yes” or “No”.
