Selecting failure group for viewing

Select Failure Group

In this page, you can select the failure group to be viewed. Tell me more.

Select the “View Failure Group” link under the “Trouble Shooting Guide” business component.

The “Select Failure Group” page appears.

Enter the following field in the "Direct Entry" group box, if you know the exact failure group to be viewed:

Failure Group

The failure group for which the details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “View Failure Group” link provided alongside to view the failure group.

To search for a failure group

Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a failure group. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Failure Group	The failure group for which the details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the failure group in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the failure groups that are similar to the values entered here.
Desc.	The description of the failure group to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all failure groups whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the failure group to be viewed. The system provides the options: “Active” and “Inactive”. Leave the field blank if you wish to retrieve all failure groups irrespective of their status. The system leaves the field blank by default.
Attached to TSG	The trouble-shooting guide attached to the failure group to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). Enter the trouble-shooting guide in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the failure groups to which trouble-shooting guides with similar values are attached.
Mapped To Eqp.	The equipment belonging to the failure group to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 30). Enter the equipment in full or specify it partially. The system retrieves all the failure groups to which equipment with similar values belong.

Note: The system retrieves all the failure groups in the multiline, if all the fields are left blank.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system fills in the following fields in the multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Failure Group	The failure group retrieved by the system.
Desc.	The textual description of the failure group.
Status	The status of the failure group, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Click the hyperlinked failure group from the multiline to view its details.

Select Failure Group – An overview

In this page, you can select the failure group to be viewed. If you are aware of the exact failure group to be viewed, you can directly enter it. Otherwise you can carry out a search based on the failure group, its description and status. You can also retrieve failure groups based on the trouble-shooting guides attached to the failure group and on the equipment belonging to the failure group. Based on the search criteria entered, the system retrieves the failure groups, from which you can select the failure group to be viewed.
