Launch MSP
This page allows you to launch Microsoft project. If “Export to MSP” is selected, the system launches the export plan for scheduling.
The system exports the following into Microsoft Project for scheduling:
All the tasks and procedures that are displayed in the multiline.
All the skill requirements that have been defined for the task.
The start date and the end date of the plan.
Any relationship between the various tasks.
If the “Include Transactions” box is checked, all the work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders, along with the dates and durations will get exported to MS Project.
The system imports the following details of the scheduled plan from Microsoft Project to the application:
The start and end dates, the duration, calendar and relationships of the tasks as per the scheduling done in Microsoft Project.
If any of the tasks are identified as critical, the system sets the “Critical?” field as “Yes” in the multiline.
If the scheduling is done for work orders and if the work orders are scheduled by “Work Order”, the system
re-schedules the work order
all dates of all the tasks are overwritten by the scheduled dates of the work order
increases the scheduling count of the work order
If the scheduling is done for inspection orders and calibration orders, the system imports the dates and duration of the transaction from Microsoft Project.
