This page allow you can schedule a maintenance plan. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Schedule” link in the “Select Maintenance Plan” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked plan number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Schedule Maintenance Plan” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Plan No. |
The number of the plan that must be scheduled. |
The description of the plan is displayed alongside. |

Use the drop-down list box to select the equipment or location for which you wish to retrieve the tasks and procedures that have been defined as a part of the plan. |

The system displays the following fields in the “Task/Proc.” multiline. The system retrieves only those tasks and procedures for which work orders have not yet been generated as a part of the plan.

Check the “Include Transactions” box to schedule the plan along with the transactions.
To export into Microsoft Project
Click the “Export To MSP” pushbutton to export the plan to Microsoft Project for scheduling.
Note: Before exporting, ensure that a task, procedure or service is defined as a part of the plan.
On exporting the system checks if the plan was already exported to Microsoft Project for scheduling. If the plan has been exported before, the system exports the plan again for scheduling, provided that the option “If A File With The Plan Name Found In MSP” has been set as “Always overwrite the file” in the “Option Setting” activity.
The system exports the following into Microsoft Project for scheduling:
All the tasks and procedures that are displayed in the multiline.
All the skill requirements that have been defined for the task.
The start date and the end date of the plan.
Any relationship between the various tasks.
For defining relationships between tasks, select the “Relationships” link provided at the bottom of the page.
If the “Include Transactions” box is checked, all the work orders, inspection orders and calibration orders, along with the dates and durations will get exported to MS Project.
To launch Microsoft Project
Click the “Launch MSP” pushbutton to launch Microsoft Project.
To delete the plan details from Microsoft Project
Select the “Delete From MSP” pushbutton to delete the scheduled details of the plan from Microsoft Project.
To import from Microsoft Project
Note: You need to click the “Import from MSP” pushbutton only if the option “Option For Data From Proj. Management Application” has been set as “Do Not Update the data directly” in the “Option Settings” activity. If this option has been set as “Update the data directly”, the system imports the scheduled details of the plan directly from Microsoft Project into the application.
Click the “Import From MSP” pushbutton to import the scheduled details of the plan from Microsoft Project into the application.
Note: Before importing the schedule plan, the system check if the plan has been modified after it has been exported to Microsoft Project. If the plan has been modified, the system imports the scheduled plan only if the “If The Plan Has Been Modified After Exporting” option has been set as “Allow Import of data” in the “Option Settings” activity.
The system imports the following details of the scheduled plan from Microsoft Project to the application:
The start and end dates, the duration, calendar and relationships of the tasks as per the scheduling done in Microsoft Project.
If any of the tasks are identified as critical, the system sets the “Critical?” field as “Yes” in the multiline.
If the scheduling is done for work orders and if the work orders are scheduled by “Work Order”, the system

If the scheduling is done for inspection orders and calibration orders, the system imports the dates and duration of the transaction from Microsoft Project.
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The date and time at which the plan was scheduled. |

The login ID of the user who last modified the scheduling details. |

The date and time at which the scheduling details were last modified. |

Select the “View Transactions” link at the bottom of the page to view the work orders, inspection orders or calibration orders that are a part of the plan for the equipment or location.
Scheduling maintenance plan – An overview
You can schedule a maintenance plan in this page using Microsoft Project. You can select the equipment or location and retrieve the tasks and procedures that are defined for the equipment/location as a part of the plan. You can then export the tasks and procedures to Microsoft Project and schedule the plan. The system exports the following details of the plan to Microsoft Project:
All the tasks and procedures that must be performed as a part of the plan.
All the skill requirements that have been defined for the task.
The start date and the end date of the plan.
Any relationship between the various tasks.
You can also export the transactions that are defined as a part of the plan to the project management software to schedule the transactions of the plan.
The plan is scheduled in Microsoft Project and the start dates and end dates are fixed for every task, procedure or transaction.
After scheduling, you can import the scheduled details back to the application and view the results of the scheduling.
You can also delete the scheduled details of the plan from Microsoft Project.
Microsoft Project must be installed in the system.
