You can select a task or procedure in this screen. You can search for a task / procedure by providing filter criteria based on task / procedure, its description, type and category. You can retrieve the tasks or procedures that must be performed as a part of pending jobs list or shut down tasks list, or tasks that are attached to equipment. You also carry out a search for a routine or a non-routine task.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Task / Proc Code" field in the main screen.
The “Help For Tasks” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a task or procedure:

Search For |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you wish to retrieve a task or a procedure. The system provides the options “Task” and “Procedure”. The system displays “Task”, by default. |

Task / Proc Code. |
The task or procedure for which the details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the task or procedure in full or specify it partially. The system displays all the tasks or procedures similar to the task or procedure entered here. |

Desc. |
The description of the task or procedure for which the details must be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially. The system displays all the tasks or procedures whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |

From |
Use the drop-down list box to retrieve tasks or procedures from the pending jobs list or shut down task list. You can also use this field to retrieve tasks or procedures that have been attached to the specified equipment. The system provides the options “Pending Jobs List”, “Shut Down Task List” and “Tasks Mapped To Equipment”. The system leaves the field blank. |

Use the drop-down list box to specify the equipment or location for which you wish to retrieve the tasks or procedures. The system provides the options “Equipment” and “Location”. The system displays “Equipment”, by default. |

Code |
The equipment or location for which you wish to retrieve the tasks or procedures (Alphanumeric, 30). If you have selected “Equipment” in the “For” field, ensure that the code entered here is an equipment. If you have selected “Location” in the “For” field, ensure that the code entered here is a location. |

Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the task or procedure for which details must be retrieved. The system lists all the task types that are in “Active” status, as defined in the “Define Task Types” activity. The system leaves the field blank by default. |

Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the task or procedure for which details must be retrieved. The system lists all the task categories that are in “Active” status, as defined in the “Define Task Categories” activity. The system leaves the field blank by default. |

Routine Task |
Use the drop-down list box and set the field to “Yes”, if you wish to search for routine tasks. Set the field to “No” if you wish to search for non-routine tasks. Leave the field blank to retrieve all routine and non-routine tasks. The system displays “Yes” by default. |
Note: The system lists all the tasks in the multiline, if all the fields are left blank.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves only the tasks that are in an “Active” status.

Click the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the task.
Click the “Ok” pushbutton.
