Work Order - An Overview

A work order is a document, which contains the information required to carry out maintenance activities on equipment or a location and records the actual information of the work done. These work orders can be raised based on any criteria pertaining to the maintenance activities on the equipment. In this activity, you can define the various types of work orders that can be raised. The following can be the types of work orders you can define:

You can define the work order type with a unique code and provide a description and status for it. You can enter a sequence number, which determines the order in which the work order types will be listed, wherever work order types are referred to. You can also use this activity to modify the work order types that are already defined. Details of work order types, such as description, status and the sequence number can be modified. The system stores the login ID of the user creating/modifying the work order type and sets the current system date and time as the created/modified date and time respectively.
