This page allows you to initiate the tasks belonging to the work order. Tell me more
Select the “Work Order Details” link in the “Initiate Work Order” page. Alternatively, you can select the hyperlinked work order number in the multiline of the same page to initiate the tasks belonging to it.
The “Work Order Details” page appears.
If you wish to initiate the tasks belonging to a work order other than the work order selected in the previous page, enter the following field:
WO No. |
The work order for which you wish to initiate the tasks belonging to it (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Press <Enter>. The system retrieves the description of the work order alongside. |

The system displays the following fields:
WO Status |
The status of the work order. |
WO On |
The maintainable object on which the work order is raised, which can be “Equipment” or “Location”. |
Code |
The identifier of the equipment or location. |
Planning Group |
The planning group of the work order. |
Sch. Start Date |
The date and time at which the work order is scheduled to start. |
Sch. Compl. Date |
The date and time at which the work order is scheduled to be completed. |
WO Duration |
The number of hours required for the execution of the work order. |
Type |
The type of the work order. |
Category |
The category of the work order. |
Priority |
The priority of the work order. |
Work Group |
The work group which is responsible for carrying out the work on the work order. |
Supervisor |
The employee who is responsible for supervising the carrying out the work order. |
The system retrieves all the tasks belonging to the work order in the “WO Details” multiline. |

The task retrieved by the system. |
Task Status |
The status of the task. |
Note: You can initiate a task only when it is in the “Interrupted”, “Deferred” or “Scheduled” status.
Enter the following fields:
Start Date |
The date from which the task is initiated (Date Format). If you are initiating a task that is in the “Interrupted” status, ensure that the date entered here is not earlier than the date on which the task was interrupted. |
Time |
The time from which the task is initiated (Time Format). |

The date on which the task is scheduled to be completed. |
Task Duration |
The number of hours required for the execution of the task. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the task to initiate it.
Click the “Initiate Tasks” pushbutton to initiate the tasks.
The system initiates the selected tasks in the multiline and performs the following:
Changes the status of the tasks that are initiated to “In Progress”.
Changes the status of the work order to “In progress” if it was in the “Scheduled”, “Interrupted” or “Deferred” status.
Records the details of the status change of the work order in the work order history.

You can initiate the tasks belonging to a work order in this page.
Enter the date and time at which the tasks must be initiated in the “Start Date” and “Time” fields in the multiline.
Select the tasks to be initiated in the multiline.
Click the “Initiate Tasks” pushbutton to initiate the selected tasks.
Initiating tasks of a work order – An overview
This page allows you to initiate the tasks belonging to the work order. You can initiate the tasks belonging to a work order selected in the “Initiate Work Order” page. You can also directly enter a work order in this page and initiate the tasks belonging to it. You can initiate tasks that are in the “Scheduled”, “Interrupted” or “Deferred” statuses. You can initiate the tasks by specifying the date and time when the work on the tasks has started.
The system initiates the selected tasks and changes the status of the tasks to “In progress”.
