Maintain Work Request
Select the “Maintain Work Request” activity under the “Work Request” business component.
The “Maintain Work Request” page appears.

Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the
help page of the respective field.
To maintain work request
Enter the following header details in the left hand side of the page:
Work Request No |
The work request can be either automatically generated by the system or it can be manually entered. |
Numbering Type |
The numbering type of the work request. The combo is loaded with all the numbering types in “Create and Authorize Maintenance Issue” activity of the “Stock Issue” business component. |
Date |
The system displays the current date on the launch of the page. |
Status |
The status of the work request. The system provides the options such as “Fresh”, “Forwarded”, “Approved”, “Rejected”, “Closed” and “Cancelled” statuses. |
Enter the following details in the Request Details group box:
Request On |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the whether the work request has to be created on equipment or location. The system provides the options “Equipment” or “Location”. The system displays “Equipment” by default. |
Code |
The equipment or location code for which the request was created. |
Eqn/Location |
The description of the equipment or location. |
Location Code |
The unique code that identifies the location. |
Location Description |
The description of the location. |
Problem Code |
The problem code for which the request is being created. |
Problem Description |
The description of the problem. |
Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to select the priority assigned to the request. |
Short Description |
The short description of work request. |
Reported By |
The employee ID of the person who reported the work request is being created. |
Detailed Description |
The detailed description of work request. |
Contact No |
The contact number of the employee. |
Observation Date |
The system displays the observation date on the launch of the page. |
Enter the following details in the “Additional Details” group box:
Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of request. The system displays all the types in the “Define Types” activity of the “Work Order” business component. |
Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of request. The system displays all the types in the “Define Categories” activity of the “Work Order” business component. |
Equipment Condition |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate the condition of the request. The system displays all the conditions in the “Define Equipment Condition” activity of the “Equipment Induction” business component. |
Target Date – Time |
The date and time at which the target is planned and completed. The system displays the current date and time by default on the launch of the page. |
Auto Close |
Check this box if the request would be closed automatically. |
Work Group |
The group that is expected to carry out the corrective action on the equipment for which the work request is created. Ensure that the work group is already defined in “Create Work Group” activity under “Work Group” business component. |
Click “Create” button to create the request.
Click “Edit” button to edit the request.
Click “Cancel” button to cancel the request.
Click “Close” button to close the request.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Create Equipment” button to create equipment’s.
Select the “Create Location” button to create locations.
Select the “Create Problem Code” button to the problem codes.
Select the “Create Work Group” button to create the work groups.
Select the “Create Work Order” button to create a work order.
Select the “Attach Notes” button to specify the notes details.
Enter the following details in the right hand side of the page.
In Images tab, you can upload the file using the “Folder” icon.
Enter the following details to upload the image.
File Id |
The name of the file to be uploaded. Click “Browse” button to locate the path. The path of selected file is displayed. |
Click “Upload” button to upload the file.
Click “Delete” button to delete the uploaded file.
In Map tab, the system displays the Google map to locate the location.
In Statistics tab, the following details are displayed.
Last Work Request |
The number of the last work request created. |
Description |
The description of the last created work request. |
Last Work Request Raised By |
The person who raised the last work request. |
Last Work Request Date |
The date in which the request is raised. |
Open Work Requests |
The number of open work requests. |
Open Work Orders |
The number of open work orders. |
WOs Scheduled |
The number of work orders scheduled. |
In Request History tab, the following details are displayed in the multiline.
Date |
The date on which the work request is created. |
Time |
The time of which the work request is created. |
Action |
The action performed based on the work request. The work requests can be created, modified, processed, reversed and closed. |
In Work Summary tab, the following details are displayed in the multiline.
WO |
The unique number that identifies the work order. |
Date |
The date on which the work order is created. |
Time |
The time on which the work order is created. |
The system displays the following in the “Data History” group box:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the work request. |
Created Date |
The date and time at which the work request was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who modified the work request. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time at which the work request was last modified. |
