This Help page allows you to search and select a finance book and transfer the details to the field where it is required.
You can search by specifying the code identifying the company for which you want to retrieve the finance books, the organization unit in which the finance book is deployed and the status of the finance book. You can also search by specifying the code and the description identifying the finance book that you want to retrieve. The selected finance book is transferred to the required page when it is confirmed.
Click the lens icon positioned next to the “Finance Book” field.

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a finance book.

Company Code |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code identifying the company for which you want to retrieve the finance books. All the companies that have been created for the installation and that are in the “Active” status will be available for selection in the ascending order. |

Book Type |
Use the drop-down list box to set the type of the finance book that you want to retrieve. The system displays the “Posting FB” by default at the launch of the page. |

Deployed At |
Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit in which the finance book that you want to retrieve has been deployed. All the organization units that have been defined for the company for which “Posting” finance books have been defined will be available for selection in the ascending order. |

Finance Book |
The code identifying the finance book that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 20). |

Finance Book Desc. |
The textual description of the finance book that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 128). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the finance books that are similar to the value entered here. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the finance book that you want to retrieve from “Active” or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default at the launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Finance Book Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:

Finance Book |
The code identifying the finance book. |

Finance Book Desc. |
The textual description of the finance book. |
|
Book Type |
The type of the finance book. It must be “Posting FB”. |
|
Deployed At |
The organization unit in which the finance book has been deployed. |
|
Effective Date From |
The date from which the selected finance book is in effective use. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select a finance book.
Click the “OK” pushbutton.
