Select the “Specify Container Details” link at the bottom of “Specify Movement details” page
The “Container Details” appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Item Details” group box:
Receipt Document Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the receipt document number |
Enter the following details in the “Item details” group box
Receipt Line Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the unique code identifying the GR. The system displays “line no” if the movement of containers is at the line level. |
Movement Line Number |
The line number in which the container is presently located. The system throws an error if this field is left blank. |
The system displays the following in the “Item Details” group box:
Item Code |
The unique code identifying the item |
Item Variant Code |
The variant of the item. |
Note: The system checks for the existence of item dependent inexact conversion between transaction UOM and transaction alternate UOM for catchweight item variants. The system raises an error if exact conversion exists between them. If no conversion exists, the system checks for the existence of item independent inexact conversion. The system throws an error if exact conversion or no conversion exists between transaction UOM and transaction alternate UOM.

Warehouse |
The code identifying the warehouse from which the goods must be dispatched. The system throws an error if the warehouse code is blank when the Issue Flag is "Yes". |
Zone |
A code identifying the zone under the warehouse. The system throws an error If zone is null for a Normal warehouse. |
Bin |
A code identifying the bin under the zone. If Issue is “Yes” and action is “Chemicals Added”, then the system displays an error if bin is null, incase of a normal zone. |
Note: if the container ID is specified, the system checks whether all the item variants which are being received in this container id are moved to same warehouse / zone / bin combination. Else the system throws an error.
Click the “Get Line Item Details “ push button to get the line item details.
Enter the following details in the “Item details” group box:
Lot Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the lot number of the line number in the GR. The system displays blank by default. |
Sublot number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the sublot number. |
The system displays the following in the “Item Details” group box:
Quantity |
The number of units in the Sub-Lot/Serial Number (Numeric). The system throws an error if this field is left blank. This should not be blank if sub-lot number is entered for the row. This value should be greater than zero. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the item. The system throws an error if this field id left blank. |
Alternate Quantity |
The alternate quantity for a catchweight item. The system raises an error if this field is left blank. If alt UOM does not allow fractions then it is mandatory for alt qty to be a whole number. |
Alternate UOM |
The alternate unit of measurement for a catchweight item. The system raises an error if this field is left blank. |
Note: (No of containers * Alt Qty) Should Be Less Than Or Equal To Alt Qty in Header. Sum of all the (No of containers * Alt Qty) in multiline Should Be Equal To Alt qty in Header.
Click the “Get Line Item Details “ push button to get the line item details.
Enter the following details in the “ Container Details” multiline:
Container Item Code |
The code identifying the item in the container. The system raises an error if the container item is left blank. |

Container ID |
The code identifying the container. The system checks whether container item is serial controlled or not. If yes, the container id cannot be null, else the system throws an error. If no, then this field cannot be left blank, else the system throws an error. |

Container Item Description |
The textual description of the item in the container |
Number of Containers |
The number of containers in the warehouse. The number of containers should be equal to 1(inclusive of movement line number and receipt line number) if the container id is specified. If multiple items are received in the same container then it is mandatory to give the number of containers as 0. |
Quantity |
The number of units in the Sub-Lot/Serial Number (Numeric). The system throws an error if this field is left blank. This should not be blank if sub-lot number is entered for the row. This value should be greater than zero. |
Alternate Quantity |
The alternate quantity for a catchweight item. |
Returnable |
Use the drop-down list box to select from either “yes” or “No” depending on whether the container is returned or not. The system displays ”No” by default. The system throws an error if this field is left blank. |
Note: The number of containers * quantity will be less than or equal to “Quantity” in the header. The sum of all the (No of Containers * Quantity) should be equal to “quantity “ in the header.
Click the “Maintain Container Details” pushbutton to save the container details.
The system displays the following details:
Created By |
The name of the person who created the container details. |
Created Date |
The date on which the container details was created. |
Modified By |
The name of the person who modified the container details. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the container details was modified. |
Specify Container Details – An Overview
The system displays the line item details. The alternate quantity and unit of measurement for a catchweight item is also displayed.
The system also displays the container details specified for the container code in multiline on the selection of the container item code. You are also able to calculate the tare weight, gross weight and net weight in this page.
