Use this page to specify the business rules.
Select “Specify Business Rules” from “Set HR Options" page
The “Specify Business Rule” page appears.
The system displays the following
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Specify the following details.
Rule Type |
The type of the rule, that is, seniority, service, promotion/transfer etc. From the drop-down list box, select the required value. |
To get the rules already defined for the selected rule type
Select the “Get” pushbutton beside.
The system displays in the “Rule Name” field, the rule available for the selected rule type.
You can also view the effective dates of the rule in the “History Details” group box.
Select the “Previous” pushbutton to view the previous set of effective dates.
Select the “Next” pushbutton to view the next set of effective dates.
Rule Name |
The description of the rule under the specified rule type. |
Modification Option: |
From the drop-down list box, select the required modification option i.e., “Correct” or “Update”. If you select “Update”, you are to provide a new effective date. The system closes the existing record one minute previous to the new effective from date you specify. If you select the “Correct” option, the system updates the changes without changing the effective dates of the record. |
New Effective From |
The date from which the changes should come into effect. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the changes.
Select the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the changes.
The system displays the following fields in the "Record Statistics" group box:
Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the business rules |
Created Date |
The date on which the business rules were created |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the business rules |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the business rules were last modified |
