The “Specify Position Control IDs Attributes” page appears.

The system displays the following details at the top of the page.

 

HR Set Up Unit

The setup unit in which the HR setup component is deployed.

Date Format

The date that is applicable to the login user.

Position Control ID

The position control ID selected in the ”Create Position Control IDs” page.

Position Title

The title of the position applicable to the selected position control ID.

Position Desc.

The description of the position applicable to the selected position control ID.

Inactive

Click inside the check box if you want to make the details of the selected position control ID inactive and not available for use in other activities.

Effective From

The date from which the position control ID must be in effect.

Effective To

The date till which the position control ID must be in effect.

Position Control ID

The unique code of the position control Id whose details you want to default to the selected position control ID.

Employment Unit

The employment unit of the selected position control ID. The system displays the specified value in the drop-down list box.

Company

The system displays the name of the company corresponding to the values specified for the above details.

 

Job Level

The level to which the job applicable to the position should be mapped. Job levels indicate the hierarchy of jobs in an organization unit. The Job level represents the relative position of the job with respect to other jobs in the Organization Unit structure. For e.g. Level 1 can be CEO, Level 2 can be Vice President and so on.

Job Desc.

The description of the job applicable to the position for which position control ID is being defined.

Job Family

Job family is a group of similar jobs, for example, all Managerial jobs can be grouped under a single family and all Executive jobs can be grouped in a different family etc.

EEO Class

The EEO class stands for Equal Employment Opportunity class. It indicates whether the job is open to qualified employees irrespective of nationality, language, gender etc. Some jobs may be restricted to native employees in which case it will not come under the EEO class.

Grade Set

Specify the required grade set, for example, supervisors, trainees etc., which you want to attribute to the position ID being defined. Select the required option from the drop down list box.

Grade

Grade indicates the hierarchy within a grade set. Specify the grade, for example, Grade 1, Grade 2 etc., to which you want to attribute to the position being defined. Select the required option from the drop down list box.

Job Classification

The classification of the specified job. The job classification indicates if the corresponding job is a permanent, temporary or contract job.  The job classifications are user-defined using the Quick Codes component. By default, the system displays the job classification applicable to the specified job.

Working Condition

Indicates if the work associated with the position or job for which the employee is being rehired, involves hazardous conditions or otherwise. The conditions of work are user-defined. By default, the system displays the value applicable to the specified job code. To edit, select the required value from the drop-down list box. The system lists the user-defined work conditions from the Quick Codes component with which the specified employee movement unit is interacting.

Worker’s Compensation Code

Worker’s Compensation Code indicates the compensation terms and conditions applicable in the event of an injury, permanent disability or death of an employee while discharging his/her service. Specify the worker’s compensation code, which you want to associate to the position control ID being edited. This indicates that the compensation terms and conditions corresponding to the specified code will be applicable to the employee holding the position.

Salaried/Hourly

Specify if the compensation for the position is through regular salary or computed on an hourly basis. From the drop down list box select the required option, either “Salaried” or “Hourly”. “Salaried” indicates that the employee holding the position will be paid regular salary, “Hourly” indicates that the remuneration for the position being edited would be calculated on the number of hours of work.

Std. Hrs.

The number of working hours that the work involves regularly. For example, the position might require the employee to work for 8 hours a day or 5 hours a day etc. Specify the number of standard working hours in the field and select the unit, for example, Per Day, Per Week etc., from the drop-down list box beside.

Work Experience

The number of years of experience required for the job. Enter the number in the field and select the unit i.e., Months, Years etc., from the drop-down list box, beside.

Medical Check Required

Indicates if medical check is required for the specified job. If it is checked, it indicates the medical check is mandatory for the specified job.

Medical Check Reqt.

The medical check requirement criteria that the employee must meet to be eligible for the designated job. For example, physical fitness is a prerequisite for a job in the military. By default, the system displays the medical check requirements predefined for the specified job code. You can edit the details.

Tipped

Indicates if the employee holding the specified job is entitled for receiving tips from customers or otherwise.

Mobile

Indicates if the job involves traveling or otherwise.

FLSA

From the drop-down list box, select the required value, either “Exempt” or “Non Exempt”.

SIC Code

The corresponding SIC code.

Reporting To Position

Enter the unique code of the position to which the employee holding the position for which you are defining the position control ID, must report to. This field is help enabled.

Regular/Temporary

Indicates if the position control ID pertains to a regular job or a temporary one.

FTE

Indicate the Full Time Equivalent of the job (If the regular working hours are 8 hrs/day, and if two employees are employed part-time for 4 hours and 6 hours respectively, then their FTE would be 0.5 and 0.75 respectively).

Full/Part Time

From the drop down list box select the required option, either “Full Time” or “Part Time” to specify if the corresponding position control Id pertains to a full time or a part time job.

Max. Head Count

The maximum head count of the position.

Current Head Count

The current head count of the position
