This activity allows you to identify the earliest available date on which the requested quantity is available as free stock. Tell me more

The “EAD Information” page appears.

Stocking Point

Use the drop-down list box to select the stocking points. The system retrieves all the warehouse organization units for login business unit. The system displays “First OU and Description” by default on launch of the page.

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system sets the EAD level with "Stocking point" as a default value.

The system displays the following:

Stocking Point Desc.

The description of the stocking point.

EAD Level

Use the drop-down list box to select the levels of EAD. You can select from  "BU", "Stocking point" or "Warehouse". The system displays "Stocking point" by default on launch of the page.

Warehouse Code

The code identifying the warehouse.

 

Press <Enter> key

 

The system checks for the validity of the warehouse. If it is valid, then it is a “Nettable” and is in “Active” status.

The system displays the following:

Warehouse Desc.

The description of the warehouse.

Item Code

The code identifying the item for which you want to Inquire EAD.

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system checks if the item exists and whether the selected item is in “Active” status.

Variant Code

The code identifying the variant of the item.

 

Press <Enter> key.

 

The system checks for the existence of the variant of the item. If it exists, then it should be valid and should be in “Active” status. The system also ensures that the variant is dispositionable. For the specified variant, the system retrieves the corresponding item variant description and stock UOM.

Required UOM

The required unit of measure of the item. The system ensures that the unit of measure exists and is in “Active” status.

The system displays the following:

Item Variant Desc.

The description for the combination of item and variant.                              

Stock UOM

The unit of measure of the item in inventory. If the item is not left blank then the system retrieves the UOM specific to the item.

Required Qty.

The quantity requested to be available on the earliest available date. If the quantity is available, then it should be greater than zero.

EAD Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the options of EAD. You can select from "Single" or "Staggered". The system displays "Staggered" by default on launch of the page.

 
  • Single – indicates the total required quantity to be available on a single date (i.e. as single lots only). The receipt can be fulfilled on the single Lot.

 
  • Staggered – indicates the total required quantity available on more than one date (i.e. can be in more than one lot). The required quantity to be delivered over a number of dates or the required quantity may not be available on a single date. Therefore, on what dates the material is available and how much quantity available on these dates is identified.

The system displays the following in the “EAD Information” multiline:

Full Qty. Available On

The total quantity available on the earliest available date.       

The system displays the following in the “EAD Information” multiline:

Warehouse Code

The code identifying the warehouse where the quantity of the item is identified.                           

Earliest Available Date

The earliest date on which the requested quantity is available as free stock. The earliest available date is displayed based on the EAD options “Single” or “Staggered”.

Qty.

The quantity available on the earliest available date at the warehouse.

Warehouse Desc.

The description of the warehouse.
