Formula Builder – An overview

Introduction

The “MAC Formula Builder” business component can be used to define the relationship between a reference parameter & one or more participating parameters. While the participating parameters (the variables and associated Cost Element Structures) are defined in the Cost Setup business component, the relationship between them, in terms of mathematical expressions can be defined using “Formula Builder” business component. This relationship definition helps in automatically calculating the value of an associated entity, based on the values of the input parameters.

Feature Highlights

You can create a formula by defining a relationship between the parameters (independent parameters) using mathematical operators and constant coefficients. This formula is then associated to the Cost Element Structure in the Cost Setup business component.
